What I don't really like is the contrasting stitching on the bag.I prefered the smooth texture to the pebbled grain.
It has a magnetic closure,there is no zipper and so your things aren't secured from the top.

Christian Grainy Parisian Handbag Color: Cognac Review

(More customer reviews)This is what I call my 'Firkin', due to its undeniable similarity to the much more costly designer version by Hermes. Since I couldn't yet afford the real deal, this seemed like a wonderful alternative. Although I was a little hesitant in getting it as I wasn't familiar with the brand's standard of quality, I have been very happy with my purchase so far (bought it about a month ago) and get many compliments on the color (Cognac) and design.
The bag is roomy and can fit plenty of items, including letter-sized notebooks and folders without getting them bent. I like the sturdy base, as the bag doesn't sink down even if it is heavy and always remains well-supported. One thing that I wish I knew how to fix is that a few days after buying it, the bag began to flop over the front when I set it on the ground and no longer stands up straight. A minor quirk but I am worried that the leather might start to crease. The leather quality is good for its price, a little shiny but not noticeable. The straps are holding up well and I especially love the classy buckle lock detail.
For its price, this is certainly an elegant and well-crafted bag.

If you are a student, please note that this will only hold one textbook. I love the strap, it is wide and comfortable. The cell phone holder is kind of dorky and too big for slim phones-but it comes off, so not to worry. The strap is somewhat adjustable. I have the tan one, but I have a different Clava bag in the darker brown-I love both colors. I think the tan color works very well with jeans. I've had this bag for about 1 1/2 years now and the leather has worn well. This is a bag I will use for many, many years. If you are going to buy one, watch the price!! There seems to be a big difference in price from seller to seller.
