Gold McBrine Pink Ribbon Line Laptop Case on Wheels Review

(More customer reviews)I love this bag. Although the price here is far more expensive than Grand and Toy. Some proceeds go to a good cause so the cost is worth it. The bag has a ton of capacity and plenty of pockets. It holds a ton and feels like it if you need to carry it. The bag is a little bigger than I would like for airline travel but it does fit in the over head bin.
Two concerns. The handle is very flimsy. It wobbles and just feels "cheap". I'm not sure how it will hold up over time and I do plan to use it daily for school/work as well as use it for my carry on bag when traveling.
The second concern, is that the computer compartment has a strap that closes over when you put the lap top in. the problem is that the Velcro strip is very short so that you cannot close the compartment snugly, the computer moves around. It is well padded but I bought a lap top case to pack it in first as I was unsure how much shifting would occur in flight. A simple remedy for future updates would be to have the Velcro strip go all the way along the belt so that you can close it as tightly or as loosely as you want.
Other that those things this is a very good bag, a little on the large size and it will not fit under the airline seat. No problem in the overhead bin. For bus travel the bag is too big to be boarded in the passenger section of the bus and you need to stow it in the luggage compartment in the belly of the bus. Just a word of warning when you are packing.
For an everyday school/work bag this is great as it will hold everything you need and the price is very competitive with other brands. But the Amazon price, even the sale price is a bit on the high side. If you live near a Grand and Toy try there. I got mine for $109 Canadian.

McKlein USA R Series Division Nylon 17" Detachable - Wheeled Laptop Backpack Review

(More customer reviews)Daily Use: I am generally pleased with this product. I have been using it to transport my 17" laptop back and forth to work via the train and it is holding up well. The zippers in the back that connect the wheeled portion to the backpack portion are sometimes a bit difficult to work with and don't easily tuck out of view but they work. My only complaint is that within 3 days of using the bag, it shifted slightly. What I mean is, when it first arrived, it sat up straight and tall and the handle when fully extended stretched perpendicular to the ceiling. Now it slants back a bit and doesn't stand up straight anymore but it does not cause the bag to fall over.
Airline Travel: I love that I can walk through the airplane and not bump anyone (it is vertical rather than horizontal) and it fits in the overhead bins very neatly. Removal of the laptop for security checks goes very smoothly and if I don't put too much in the bag, it doesn't get too heavy to lift when necessary.
Internal Pockets: Others don't like the pocket arrangement but for me it is fine. I am able to carry everything I need and it forces me to be more mindful about what I need to take with me (which we should all do anyway). Besides, as noted, if I put too much in it, I can't lift it when I need to.
I haven't been using it very long but if I change my mind on any of this, I will post another review.

After using a very large rolling backpack to haul around my 'mobile' office, I started looking for something that didn't look like I'd borrowed from my daughter or some guy. The zip pocket in the back is a great size for my power brick, cable lock, extra dry erase markers and little wireless mouse. The main pocket protects my laptop well and has room for a large hard-bound journal or several file folders. The large front pocket holds another several file folders or some notepads. And the little zip organizer pocket has room for several pens and other small items.
It really is a light bag, even fully loaded with all the items above. It is easy to maneuver. As noted in a couple other reviews, the telescoping handle sticks a bit, but its manageable. What I like is that at 5' 8", I don't feel like I have to strain to use the handle and roll it around. Overall, I'd buy it again.
