(More customer reviews)Based on the positive reviews I bought three of these. Big mistake. Just grab hold of the metal cable with your hands and give a good pull and POP! the cable slips out of the crimped-on threaded holder. Then there is nothing holding the tag on and it will be lost. Useless.
ALL THREE OF THEM came apart with one yank.
When I pulled just as hard on the cheapo vinyl/fabric tags I bought years ago at Wal-Mart, they held up just fine.
I checked the manufacturer's web page and it also has user reviews for this item. Interestingly, some of the reviewers claim their tags were stolen by airport personnel. I really doubt that any of them actually knew this for a fact; all they knew was that the tags weren't on anymore by the time they got to baggage claim. I suspect their cables failed, too. Just a theory.
Now, if you take the cables off and replace them with something more reliable (like tying the tags on with a short bit of nylon cord with a good knot) they might stay on. But I'm very unhappy with the quality of what I got for the money.
