(More customer reviews)We ordered this set to take on our safari trip since weight restrictions and being able to stow our luggage in the smaller airplanes were major considerations. The large duffel is very light and sturdy. The bottom compartment can hold shoes and clothes very securely. You can access the bottom compartment either using the outside zipper which separates the two halves of the bag or go through the top half and unzip the divider from inside (this applies to the small bag as well). Because of this feature you will need two locks, if you decide to use them, to properly secure each bag. The bottom compartments of both duffel bags also have air vents which also shoes or slightly damp clothes to breathe. The large bag has a very strong top corner grip handle and an easy sliding pull out handle to pull it behind you. The wheels are very smooth and don't stick out too much from the bag.
The small bag has back pack straps that can be concealed if not needed (one of these orange/black straps is shown in the product pic). It works but if you place to much in the bag it becomes a bit top heavy and there is no waist strap to provide additional support. I just ended up using the shoulder strap. Both bags worked great for our trip. I'm considering buying another set to replace our more traditional bulky luggage. You save a lot of weight that can be applied towards more clothes and souvenirs, and don't give up on durability. The large bag was checked during our international and local flights and came through without a scratch. The smaller duffel is perfect as a carry-on. I also like the sporty look that is very easy to ID at baggage claim. Would highly recommend this product.
