(More customer reviews)I just got the Rick Steves Avanti Rolling Tote in red. I love it.
I looked a long time for a carryon bag to carry my CPAP machine, Macbook, and associated power cords. I required the bag to be padded to protect my electronics. The bag also needed back straps for the capability to be piggybacked / carried on the handles of a larger rollaboard. Finally the bag had to be lightweight and strong with pockets in the right places.
The Avanti Rolling Tote met all my needs.
It has a strap on the back that slips over any rollaboard handle so it can be doubled up for the perfect two-piece carryon / weekend combination.
It has a separate padded compartment for my MacBook. It has a padded bottom to protect my CPAP machine (I place a neoprene laptop sleeve in front of my CPAP to protect the front. My breathing tube fits nicely side by side with my CPAP in the main compartment. All power cords fit in the front pocket. There is a zippered pocket at the top of the bag for quick access to boarding passes. The sides have elasticized holders for water bottles.
It weighs only 5 /12 pounds empty. And it fits under the seat (however under the stupid United seats with the video player box it gets a bit tricky, but it can work).
The handle telescopes quite long so it is comfortable to handle. It rolls really easily.
This bag is evidence of intelligent design. Get it. I paid only $64 on Amazon so try not to pay more than that.
