Victorinox Swiss Army Tallux Collection 28 Wheeled Expandable Upright Review

Victorinox Swiss Army Tallux Collection 28 Wheeled Expandable Upright
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Okay, so do you see the second picture of this bag, how the wheel is slightly outside the perimeter of the bag? That small detail is likely to mean that you'll have difficulty getting this bag in the overhead bin of some flights.
But, if you know a couple of tricks, you can make this bag work...and it's worth learning the work-around, because, overall, it's a really good bag.
In terms of capacity, this bag has about as much room as you could ever hope to have in a carry-on bag. It will fit in the sizers (as long as it's not filled to bursting), but, if you can travel for a week with two mens' suits, two pair of shoes, five shirts, jeans, and 5 pair each of socks and underwear, you can fit all of that in this bag and have five days' clothes for business travel in one carryon.
Downside: the outside pockets are very deep, but not very wide, which means that they're practically unusable. Unless you have something long and flat that you're putting in there, don't bother. And if you do use them for a ziploc bag of toiletries, for example, you'll likely have your bag torn because you'll have to reach all the way down, and it's narrow enough that pulling it up will rip your toiletry bag.
It's fine in the overhead bin if you're in a plane where you can put it in wheels-first. But if you're on a flight where you have to put 22" wheeled carryons sideways, you may have to do a little hack. On transcontinental American Airlines flights, there's no way to get this bag in the overhead bin, unless you turn it upside down, and prop a pillow or jacket underneath it. Flight attendants hassled me regularly about this bag until I figured this out. I'd love to give this five stars, because it's huge for a carry-on and it's great for my suits, but I'm often stressed that I'm going to have to argue with a flight attendant about whether it will fit, and pulling my toiletries out of the outside pockets is often an ordeal.

Travelpro Executive First Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Briefcase in Black Review

Travelpro Executive First Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Briefcase in Black
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My first Travelpro is a 3 year old 21 inch rollerbag, which has been on about 300 flights (including Europe and India) and still looks new. I bought this companion case because unlike cheap ballistic nylon, the material on Travelpro does not wear out. After two trips, I think this is the best professional briefcase for travel. There are plenty of zippered pockets so I do not have to worry about loosing my small electronic gear, pens, and so forth. I have used this as a portable office (computer, books and files) and as an overnight bag. For those that like to travel light and don't mind wearing the same slacks two days in a row, there is enough room in the center compartment for a clean shirt, tie, undergarments and toiletries. I have 2 stylish leather briefcases but this is the one I will use to get work done.

This luggage is very nice and durable on the outside (I have a Travelpro briefcase), but loses a lot of room on the inside because the retractable handle retracts inside the bag, meaning you lose about 1/4 of the inside space...I will try to upload a photo of the interior.

The retractable handle was difficult (impossible) to extend and seemed rather flimsy. Also, the zipper did not travel around the corners well at all. We returned the bag.

Bought this as a gift for my wife before her overseas trip. She used all the features; day pack, wheels, carry handles & backpack. Found it was much easier to handle than the bags her friends brought along.
Highly recommend!

Travelpro Crew 7 Rolling 22" Garments 2 Go Bag - CLOSEOUT Review

Travelpro Crew 7 Rolling 22 Garments 2 Go Bag - CLOSEOUT
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After much research, I bought this bag for a series of interviews all over the country. I felt it was better to invest in a bag then pay all those fees for checked luggage. This served its role admirably - my suit and shirts arrived in good condition, I could always fit it easily as a carry-on bag, and there was enough room for clothes, etc. The zippers and other materials are of good quality, and the bag rolls easily. At first use the extended handle seemed a bit 'shaky' but I never had a problem with it, even given my tendency to sort of slam the bag around in airports and whatnot. The two separate compartments are helpful for organization and quick access. Having made it through a dozen trips in two months, I fully expect it to be a valuable and useful purchase for years to come.
One point - the inside clasp for securing garments does better with slim hangers, rather than the standard sort-of wide plastic ones... especially if you want to put 3 or 4 hangers in there and have it latch fully closed.

Caselogic 24" Lightweight Expandable Upright Roller Review

Caselogic 24 Lightweight Expandable Upright Roller
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This was a big surprise coming from Case Logic. While apparently sturdy, it's very plain with little of the internal conveniences that mark standard suitcase manufacturers. Almost unusable if you're taking a multi-destination trip as it's little more than one big compartment. Could be more favorably compared to a hard sided duffel bag. Very disappointing for my purposes.

Travelpro T-Pro Xtreme 28" Expandable Rollerboard Review

Travelpro T-Pro Xtreme 28 Expandable Rollerboard
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My thoughts on this bag mirror those of the other reviewer. I owned a travelpro once before and it rocked, it was a durable and well organized bag. I got the Tpro because I was so impressed with the previous travelpro. The t-pro xtreme began to fall apart almost immediately. The plastic that lines the bottom of the bag tore all the way off. The cloth began to severely fray and the zippers are showing wear and the bag is still fairly new! Later I learned that CNN money reviewed this exact bag and graded it a C-. Frankly I think it deserves an F. Youve lost a customer forever travelpro.

Samsonite Supra 6 Compressor 21" Upright Review

Samsonite Supra 6 Compressor 21 Upright
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got this to replace a 15 year old Samsonite carry on luggage piece that I always had issues with trying to fit lengthwise in the overhead. This one is a little smaller than my old one, but I'm a sucker for gadgets and the "Compressor" feature of this piece intrigued me, and seemed that it would allow me to fit more clothes in the case. Anyway, the case seems to be well made and all. The issue that I see is that there are no stretchy, tie down straps like my old case had. This will cause clothes to move around when the case is not completely filled. For one of the more expensive Samsonite models, this one missing feature is surprising. Considering that there are no other features such as a garment bag (which I personally wouldn't use anyway) I think this case is perhaps little overpriced for what you get.

I purchased this luggage for a recent mediterranean cruise. This bag rocks! Big enough to fit 2 pairs of shoes and 2-3 dresses and 2 suits. My wife and I used this bag for our formal clothes. I was also able to fit all my t-shirts/pants/and socks in this bag. No problems checking in this luggage as it easily fit inside cabinets in the airplane. A great buy!

Travelpro Crew 7 28" Expandable Rollaboard Suiter Review

Travelpro Crew 7 28 Expandable Rollaboard Suiter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The first time I used this suitcase, one of the zipper pulls was torn off. The second time I used it, the main handle pulled out of the plastic casing. The metal portion of the handle was not secured to the suitcase. The weight in the suitcase was only 43 pounds and it is large enough for substantially more weight then this. The handle came apart, not through rough baggage handling, but when I started to pick it up to load it in the car. The loss of the handle rendered the suitcase unusable and I returned it. The size of the bag seems to be designed for heavy loads, but the quality does not even allow for the standard 50 pound load.

This Tote is just the right size for 3 day weekend travel. You can pack enough to make the trip and it forces you to only take what you actually need because we all tend to over pack. It is perfect for overhead plane storage. And in a crowded airport it's followes you and the wheels are great.

Mandarina Duck Work Collection 21-Inch Upright Carry-On Review

Mandarina Duck Work Collection 21-Inch Upright Carry-On
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was in the market for a new piece of carry-on luggage to match my new job, and I was pretty set on getting Mandarina Duck. Having bought a carry-on piece from them almost ten years ago in Italy, I was hooked on their design and functionality. Since I gave the suitcase away to my sister, I've been using a suitcase that I bought at the Muji store in Tokyo quite inexpensively which, while it has served me well, is looking pretty beat up.
When the shipment came, it was even blue color was even prettier in person-- a deep cornflower blue-- and the piece looks unique (unlike the army of black suitcases at the airport). I took it on a ten-day business trip, and I have a few criticisms:
1. It's not exactly light
2. There is a bit of wasted packing space on the inside; the retractable handle mechanism takes up quite a bit of space
3. It could really use an external side handle so that you have the option of carrying from the other side (being rather short, I barely clear the floor when using the top handle to carry)
4. The worst offense: it is designed in such a way that even if you're not loading up the front pockets, the suitcase has a tendency to tip forward! And when you do take advantage of the front pockets (since the inside of the suitcase isn't exactly roomy)-- forget about it.
Pros:
1. Design and color is nice; does not look like the typical, characterless black suitcase.
2. The front pockets are thoughtfully designed (lots of pockets within pockets within pockets...)
Verdict: I appreciate my Muji that much more! I wish the Mandarina Duck had the functionality of the Muji (super light, roomy considering the external dimensions, side handle, doesn't tip over!), and kind of wish I could return it... I would be reasonably happy with it if it just didn't tip over all the time. Given the price, I suggest looking for a better-designed suitcase.

Victorinox Mobilizer NXT 4.0 Mobilizer 24" Expandable Wheeled Upright Review

Victorinox Mobilizer NXT 4.0 Mobilizer 24 Expandable Wheeled Upright
Average Reviews:

This luggage had the best features that I found important - rugged, smooth and replaceable wheels, vinyl protection on the corners, vinyl protection on the wheel back (to alleviate the rubbing when climbing curbs), outside pocket (for outerwear, paperwork, or laptops), lockable zipper pulls, and a smooth and tight retractable pull. The only problem I had was trying to decide whether I wanted black (which hides marks) or the khaki (which looks really classic with the black trim). Highly recommended piece for people who travel light.

Travelpro Platinum 6 22" Expandable Rollaboard Review

Travelpro Platinum 6 22 Expandable Rollaboard
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My fiance and I registered for these and my parents bought him one for Christmas.. he took it out of the box and tried to use the handle, but the handle was having trouble. There are so many adjustments to the handle, that each side of the retracting sliders do not go at the same speed and get stuck in different spots, so it's very difficult to use. Then, once it was up, it was stuck that way.. it took 10 minutes before he could force the handle back down with all his strength.. we shipped it right back and ordered another one. Much to our dismay, the 2nd one, though a different size, also has problems with the handle. The makers tried too hard to make a very adjustable handle, that they really just made a poor quality handle, because it is a real struggle to use and gets stuck quite often.. it is very frustrating. We are are going to send the second one back and register for different luggage.. which is very sad because this set is really beautiful.

Travelpro Executive First Computer Backpack Review

Travelpro Executive First Computer Backpack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I love this backpack. It looks great, not too masculine like many other backpacks. The inside lining is a great shade of blue which makes it easier to find things. The straps are nice and thick with good padding so it's comfortable to carry whether you sling it over your shoulder on one side or wear it on your back. It also has tons of room on the inside even when your laptop is in there. Sometimes I throw a pair of shoes or an extra outfit in mine. Lots of fun little pockets and storage. It even has a little holder for a water bottle or drink which you can zip closed if you don't need it. Although I have not had this very long I have had Travelpro products in the past and have been very pleased. My Travelpro roller board traveled the world and then some and held up like a champ...and when I messed up the zipper and called Travelpro they fixed it immediately so it's good to know they deliver solid customer service.
