Victorinox Swiss Army Tallux Collection 28 Wheeled Expandable Upright Review

Victorinox Swiss Army Tallux Collection 28 Wheeled Expandable Upright
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Okay, so do you see the second picture of this bag, how the wheel is slightly outside the perimeter of the bag? That small detail is likely to mean that you'll have difficulty getting this bag in the overhead bin of some flights.
But, if you know a couple of tricks, you can make this bag work...and it's worth learning the work-around, because, overall, it's a really good bag.
In terms of capacity, this bag has about as much room as you could ever hope to have in a carry-on bag. It will fit in the sizers (as long as it's not filled to bursting), but, if you can travel for a week with two mens' suits, two pair of shoes, five shirts, jeans, and 5 pair each of socks and underwear, you can fit all of that in this bag and have five days' clothes for business travel in one carryon.
Downside: the outside pockets are very deep, but not very wide, which means that they're practically unusable. Unless you have something long and flat that you're putting in there, don't bother. And if you do use them for a ziploc bag of toiletries, for example, you'll likely have your bag torn because you'll have to reach all the way down, and it's narrow enough that pulling it up will rip your toiletry bag.
It's fine in the overhead bin if you're in a plane where you can put it in wheels-first. But if you're on a flight where you have to put 22" wheeled carryons sideways, you may have to do a little hack. On transcontinental American Airlines flights, there's no way to get this bag in the overhead bin, unless you turn it upside down, and prop a pillow or jacket underneath it. Flight attendants hassled me regularly about this bag until I figured this out. I'd love to give this five stars, because it's huge for a carry-on and it's great for my suits, but I'm often stressed that I'm going to have to argue with a flight attendant about whether it will fit, and pulling my toiletries out of the outside pockets is often an ordeal.

Sure, this luggage may cost a bit more than some, but during our 12-day excursion to Italy,
it did very well. No complaints at all. Lots of room, and it still looks like new!
Would DEFINITELY buy again, and will probably buy additional pieces in the future.

Travelpro T-Pro Xtreme 28" Expandable Rollerboard Review

Travelpro T-Pro Xtreme 28 Expandable Rollerboard
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My thoughts on this bag mirror those of the other reviewer. I owned a travelpro once before and it rocked, it was a durable and well organized bag. I got the Tpro because I was so impressed with the previous travelpro. The t-pro xtreme began to fall apart almost immediately. The plastic that lines the bottom of the bag tore all the way off. The cloth began to severely fray and the zippers are showing wear and the bag is still fairly new! Later I learned that CNN money reviewed this exact bag and graded it a C-. Frankly I think it deserves an F. Youve lost a customer forever travelpro.

I've owned and used a smaller Ricardo luggage piece for years. It is very well constructed and attractive. I bought the Beverly Hills Lite 25" Expandable Pullman because I needed a bigger one. You'd have a hard time beating Amazon.com's price on it. I am very happy with it and with my dealings with Amazon.

Atlantic Compass 29" Expandable Spinner Suiter Review

Atlantic Compass 29 Expandable Spinner Suiter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the largest suitcase I've ever owned. Now with two babies and my wife, we want to carry fewer bags on trips and just stuff everything into one suitcase. I think this should do the trick - it is big. The wheels are very smooth and I can't wait to take it on a long trip.
The matching 21" spinner carry-on looks great with this 29". I compared these two to the Costco deal which is a 27" and 21" Samsonite DLX for about the same price as what I paid for the 29" and 21" Atlantic. I like the Atlantic much more based on initial impressions.
At Costco the display suitcases look beat up already and you can see lots of scratches on the vinyl covering the bottom wheel wells. With this Atlantic, there is no vinyl to be sctratched and gouged - just plastic covering and the nylon. Also, the nylon on this Atlantic looks more durable and thicker.
The other feature I really like about this Atlantic are the front pockets. They have two zippers to close the pocket, so you don't have to open the entire pocket to take something out - this could save your stuff from falling out vs. the design of the Samsonite.
I will update this review if anything bad turns up on this suitcase, but until then it seems like I found the best value for a large suitcase, plus it looks very nice.

Skyway Luggage Sigma 3 Expandable Vertical Carry-On Case Review

Skyway Luggage Sigma 3 Expandable Vertical Carry-On Case

Quite satisfied with the Skyway Sigma 3 Carry-on case. It will replace an old Skyway carry-on case that was damaged after years of satisfactory use. The new one has extra features, like being expandable, and having extra external compartments. The price was right and I received it FAST. Totally satisfied so far.

Skyway's flair twist plus line of wheeled luggage features a zero gravity frame construction that is fully flexible for maximum protection of your contents while in transit. it is lighter and stronger than a conventional frame construction, helping to keep packed luggage below most airline-enforced weight restrictions. the new flair twist plus wheel system features four rolling contact points to maximize case stability and eliminate the feeling of weight while rolling. all four wheels rotate a full 360 degrees in both directions and are designed for high durability and smooth operation over a variety of surfaces. each vertical case comes complete with the skyway ergonomic handles and lock-up/lock-down handle system. this handle system has two locking positions, locking the handle in a fully extended or a half extended position which allows for better ergonomic control. once in the locked down position, the handle stores in low profile mode. all the pieces in the new flair twist plus line are constructed of ultra durable water and tear resistant nylon. each piece is fully lined to protect the contents of the case. zippers are self-repairing nylon zippers with smoothzip movement that are easier than ever to open and close, even when your bag is fully packed.

Skyway Sigma 2 27" Rolling Gear Bag Review

Skyway Sigma 2 27 Rolling Gear Bag
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a pretty nice bag for the price. I've been on two cross country trips with it over the last month and a half (loaded with about 40 lbs of stuff) and the only wear it's showing is some scuffing of the material on the underside. It looks like it may wear all the way through soon though, and if it does, I'll update this review.
Pros: Lots of pockets, very light, sturdy handles, and it rolls well.
Cons: Aforementioned scuffing, doesn't stand up on its end very well (though this is a duffel type bag, so I guess that can be forgiven), also, it feels as though the zipper pulls could break pretty easily if you're not careful with them because they tend to go off-center with the zipper itself. No problems if you're careful to center them prior to pulling.
Would definitely repurchase if I was in the market again.

Skyway Sigma 2 26" Expandable Vertical Packing Case Review

Skyway Sigma 2 26 Expandable Vertical Packing Case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This bag is super light weight but still sturdy enough for normal use. With the 50 lb limits on baggage, you really need something like this if you want to carry more than a few items.
It doesn't have a lot of extra pockets or dividers - but that is what helps keep it light.
I also appreciated the choice of colors so that I could have a case that didn't look like everyone else's. It is much easier to find on the carousel.

Ricardo Beverly Hills Capistrano Light 2.0 25" Two Compartment Upright Review

Ricardo Beverly Hills Capistrano Light 2.0 25 Two Compartment Upright
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I don't normally review many items but after having a hard time finding a good suitcase I'm hoping this helps someone else. I've purchased several suitcases in the last 6 months after an older suitcase finally gave out. Despite good reviews I found them poorly made and 2 did not even last 1 trip. I just returned from a 2 week trip with this suitcase and it is by far the best I've found! One week was business and one was vacation and this suitcase has enough room for clothes for both trips. Here is a summary of excellent features
- 3 fixed handles: one on top and one on the side like many others. But this also has a solid handle on the bottom. It serves 2 purposes - first it makes it easy to lift by using both the top and bottom handles. Second, when standing the handle causes it to sit slightly off center. This keeps the center of gravity over the wheels and gives it added stability. Sometimes I'll find the suitcase wants to tip over, especially if I have heavier items packed near the top. No problems like that with this suitcase.
- Extra outside zippered pockets: In addition to 2 front zippered pockets it also has a zippered pocket for the front strap (used to hang a small bag from the suitcase) and the extendable handle fits into a zippered area to help protect it during travel.
- Separate business section: One area most cases don't provide adequately for is a place to store business clothes. This has a completely separate zippered section at the front of the suitcase. It opens flat with room for several skirts, slacks, and blouses. It has a separate section for dress shirts. It also has two quick release wide straps to hold everything in place when you fold it to close again. If you don't need the separate compartment you can leave it empty and the main section simply expands into this area.
- Multiple interior bags for shoes, small items, etc.: First suitcase where I was not needing to pack things in ziplock or other plastic bags.
- Durable exterior: After 10 flights it still looks new! Zipper tabs have not been snapped off, exterior seems to resist dirt and scuffs, sides are uncrushed. I have no doubts it will continue to hold up well and so does the manufacturer as it comes with a lifetime warranty.

Traveler's Choice Rome 29" Hardshell Spinner Suitcase Review

Traveler's Choice Rome 29 Hardshell Spinner Suitcase
Average Reviews:

I bought this piece for my girlfriend to travel to Europe with. By the time she reached me, the fabric that covers the spine of the case was completely undone, and the casters seemed to be on the very brink of failing.
She's attempting to contact the supplier or the manufacturer to remedy the situation. I would love nothing more than to report in a follow-up that the suitcase is being replaced. Perhaps we got a bad one, or perhaps it doesn't stand up to even one trip.
I'll post the results of her warranty claim.

Samsonite Aspire GRT 25" Expandable Upright Review

Samsonite Aspire GRT 25 Expandable Upright
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I decided to buy this rolling suitcase for a 2-week trip to Italy after I broke my last rolling suitcase on my return trip from Germany after I had only owned it for 3 days. First of all, I am currently deployed, which means that I had to roll this suitcase through A LOT of sand, gravel, and a mixture of sand and gravel. I don't think that any other suitcase would have handled it, but this one actually didn't break (it is beat up, but not broken!) Suitcases, in general, do not roll well in deep sand and gravel, but I rolled it through anyway because it was too heavy for me to hand-carry. Second, while I was rolling my suitcase through sand and gravel, I decided to help out an acquaintenance by putting her 50 lb. duffel bag full of body armor on top of my rolling suitcase and then rolling it through the sand/gravel. Believe it or not, my suitcase actually did not break. And then, after rolling my suitcase through a ton of sand and gravel, I rolled it all throughout Italy....up and down stairs; in and out of trains, subs, and buses; and over wet and dry pavement. And, once again, it did not break! Granted, the suitcase really looks worn (any suitcase would have at least looked worn after my harsh treatment), but the handle and wheels still work like a charm. So, yes, I would definitely recommend this suitcase to anyone. Especially to those people who really need a sturdy suitcase.
Oh, and one other thing, this suitcase holds a lot of stuff! It is very roomy, and yet the size of the suitcase is not awkward. The only thing that I wish that this suitcase had is spinner wheels (I actually thought that I was ordering the model with spinner wheels...oh well). It still is a fantastic suitcase.
