Out of all of the bags I ordered, this was my favorite messenger bag. This is a great bag with the exception of the laptop compartment. There is NO padding on the bottom. I have a tendency to set my bags down with the bottom of the bag on the ground, counter, floor of the car, etc.
+ Nicely padded shoulder strap
+/- Side loading laptop compartment -- no need to lift the flap, it has a separate zipper on the side.
+ Water bottle holder on side
+ Padded grab handle, decent sized, would work with gloves.
+ Pencil/pen holders under flap.
+ main compartment under flap has a big zipper, unlike a traditional messenger, thus this one should be fairly waterproof.
- no cross strap if you are going to cycle with it and want to wear it like a traditional messenger.
+ 15" MacBook Pro 2011 fits loose in compartment, but is good with a sleeve (see my other reviews).
+ I believe there is enough space for a larger laptop.
+ Room for adapters, books, etc, but doesn't appear overly large.
I sent this bag back. Specifically due to the lack of padding on the bottom of the laptop compartment. If this bag is updated, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
