(More customer reviews)I have one of these little gems, and it's a great pity the product photo doesn't show what it does that makes it so great. This product is meant to be the luggage tag for your carry-on. The tri-fold you can see in the photo opens up, and out unfolds a zippered mesh bag. Your ID proper is safely inside the trifold so that your identity isn't on display to thieves with cell phone cameras. The zippered bag is for you to fill up with your watch wallet coins and other random small metal valuables. You do this before going through security, and zip it shut. Instead of tossing your wedding ring lip balm etc into a potentially germy little plastic dish that you hope doesn't spill or get grabbed by the wrong person in the confusion, your stuff goes through the xray machine ENCLOSED in the little mesh bag, attached to your carry-on. The security people can look through the mesh for visual inspection. You grab your carry-on (and shoes) and you can walk away to refill your pockets and put your watch back on at your leisure rather than standing there blocking traffic picking stuff out of the little plastic dish.
