Khaki Vintage Paratrooper Canvas Bag Review

Khaki Vintage Paratrooper Canvas Bag

I have been using this bag for school since the begining of August. It's my senior year and I have a heavy load of classes, most of them are honors classes too. This bag holds my huge Literature book, my French book, and whatever novels i'm reading along with two bottles of water, and a couple of snacks to munch on during the day (since I have lunch at the last part of the day.) This bag is so durrable! Nothing has wore out yet on the bag either. The front pocket is perfect to fit highlighters, and some pens in but the pencils will slide right out if you're not careful (i've lost a dozen penicls from doing that...) I even have this bag to carry my dance thigns around with me! So Ballet slippers, a pair of tights, a leotard, a shirt, shorts/skirt, Lyrical shoes, water, my Ballet dictionary, and whattever else I need. This bag may look small online, but trust me this is worth the 13 dollers or so! If you're looking for a good quality bag that won't break in half from holding items, and isn't clunky then this is your bag! I have the khaki color, and it's not exactly the light khaki color showed online. It's a bit darker than the picture shown online.

The Bag of Holding Messenger Bag Review

The Bag of Holding Messenger Bag
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm currently a high school student. This means i must carry a whole lot of stuff at once. I don't really care too much for lockers, so i like to have everything that i need with me at all times. more convenient, and more manageable. I had a big ugly backpack to hold all my stuff for quite a while now, and it was really starting to annoy me. It looked huge, and it threw me off balance because of how far out behind me it stuck out. I decided it was time for an upgrade, and combed the internet for a bag that was worthy of my usage.
I was thinking about getting a messenger bag, because i had one in the past, and i really loved it. The only problem with the bag was that it didn't have a lot of room, and it had no laptop compartment. There were only two pockets, and I would end up just throwing all my stuff in them without organizing anything. It wasn't long before i found this beauty, and i decided to buy it pretty quickly. it looked like it would work for what i wanted, and it was only fifty bucks. i couldn't really go wrong either way.
The Bag of Holding arrived within five days, and i was sort of doubting if i made the right choice when i saw it in the packaging. it didn't look like the capacity would be sufficient. When i started to move all of my things from my old backpack into this bag, i was gradually more and more amazed with how huge this thing really was. Seriously. I could fit my five folders for school, a binder, my 14 inch laptop, my notebook, gym clothes, and two normal-sized books for english class. At that point, i was still only using about THREE FIFTHS of the capacity. I hadn't even begun to fill up three pockets.
Speaking of pockets, this bag has A LOT of them. there is one zippered pocket on the outer flap, which can hold a book or two, a cavernous zippered pocket on the inside for holding pretty much anything (inside this pocket is a higher, smaller one for holding smaller books, so you don't have to fish for them on the bottom), another very large zippered one that can hold pretty much anything, and a slightly smaller (about half the size of the big pocket) one with various pockets within; the perfect size for all of your gadgets and gizmos. On the other side of the bag, there is a large, magnetic-snap pocket that is quite large, and a huge laptop pocket. This can hold any laptop up to 17 inches. All of these pockets make it very easy to stay organized.
Now there are some differences that this bag bears from the one pictured, which i actually find very favorable. On the front of the bag, in the display picture, there are two visible buttons. on the actual bag, they are not visible. They are underneath the outer material, and are magnetic snaps. All of the buttons on this bag are magnetic snap buttons, which are very quick and easy to open and close and are extremely convenient. Also, on the top of the bag, there is a handle, which is really useful for when you don't want to have to throw on the strap. The bag is made of grey canvas material, and the straps are extra thick black canvas. The material of the whole bag is very resistant and doesn't tear easily.
In short, this bag pretty much serves any purpose. It holds an insane amount of whatever you want, and maintains a fairly low profile. Great for Students, and awesome for anyone who just needs a bag. for holding stuff.

District Threads Canvas Field Bag Review

District Threads Canvas Field Bag
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It's a pretty nice bag for a couple books and odds. The side pockets don't have much give to them so if you put large objects in they bulge quite a bit, which makes them essentially useless. So you basically have one main compartment.
Unfortunately it's a bit small bordering on purse-ish. I'm a grad-student in the sciences and I like to work with a clipboard, if it was slightly larger so I could fit my clipboard in it would be about perfect. This was my fault for not checking the size, though. District Threads offers a field-bag that would have fit my clipboard. If you work on smaller items like moleskines then this bag will be an okay size for you. I didn't take off any stars for the size issue, just be aware.
I should note this is not a real canvas bag, it's pretty flimsy cotton and I expect it will wear through pretty fast if you subject it to much. Which kind of defeats the purpose of a canvas bag.

8152 STONE WASHED OLIVE DRAB HEAVY WEIGHT TRAVEL BAG Review

8152 STONE WASHED OLIVE DRAB HEAVY WEIGHT TRAVEL BAG
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great bag! It is tough and can take a beating! It isn't too large but it can pack a lot. I do wish it had a strap to hang from my shoulder or across the body, but it is still great! It has two large zippered pockets inside. Along with alot of pockets on the outside, so your stuff is well organized and in easy reach. It is made out of thick material and seems like it will last a really long time. I haven't tried it out in the rain, but I don't think it can withstand too much water, but it is canvas after all. I love the way it looks, and I get compliments on it all the time when I use it. I can't wait to use it when traveling to the West Coast in July! I am able to fit a weeks worth of clothes in it, along with a hoodie, and a thin blanket, a tolietry kit, my travel papers, and other small things that I needed along the way. (Chargers for phone, ipod, Etc.) I also threw a smaller bag inside to use as a run around bag when I get to where I'm going and I was able to fit all of that and a few shirts and few small items I got as gifts. I recommend this bag for anyone!

Flight Bag Review

Flight Bag
Average Reviews:

This is a great looking western style carry on bag that has plenty of room in the large cargo area and the big plus are the ample pockets on the outside. There are large pockets on each end of the bag and they are very roomy and they are the height and width of the bag. Very much like saddle bags on the end of the bag. There are front and back pockets for additional space that allow quick retrieval of items and can carry more substantial material. Nice looking western logo imprinted on the side and it comes with a shoulder strap and the handles include a coupling hand soft wrap that locks the two handles together. This is a rugged, good looking bag that will fit in any over head.

Embassy 24 inch Brown Faux Leather Tote Bag Review

Embassy 24 inch Brown Faux Leather Tote Bag
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This bag is made in China with very cheap quality materials. It is NOT leather. It's made out of a very thin, easily tearable manmade fabric that REEKED of chemicals when I took it out of the packaging.
Since it's so poorly made, I don't expect it to withstand much use. It definitely would not withstand the riggors of airline baggage handling for very long so if a travel bag is what you're looking for, bypass this one at all costs otherwise you'll be wasting your money.
I would return mine, but it's not worth going through the hassle. Let's just say it was a lesson learned to stay away from Embassy brand products.

Bought this bag to carry my netbook and related stuff around. It isn't really made for a laptop but with the addition of some foam it works great. I have had up to a 15" laptop in this bag with no problems.

Heavyweight Classic Messenger Bag - Olive Drab Review

Heavyweight Classic Messenger Bag - Olive Drab
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
SHIPPING
This bag arrived on a Friday afternoon in Seattle Washington after being ordered on Monday night and being shipped from Van Nuys California. It was sent via USPS Priority Mail in a bag and when unfolded had a couple wrinkles which disappeared on their own after a few hours.
FLAP
The flap looks like the flap in the main picture of this bag, with one minor exception. It has one long piece of olive green colored velcro on the other side of the flap from the two rectangular pieces of fabric pictured. The small red tag with white writing on it is not present on my flap, but is instead located on the end of the bag, where the strap is sewn on.
STRAP
The strap looks pretty comfortable and durable. It's made of the same fabric as the rest of the bag. On one side of the bag it's sewn directly to the bag, and on the other side of the bag it's looped through a wide, flat, rectangular brass ring which is inserted through a wide loop of fabric on the bag. Another brass ring is used to adjust the length of the strap which can be as short as approximately 28" and as long as approximately 48". The length adjustment ring stays in place really well but is still easy to adjust and moves smoothly along the strap.
SIDE POCKETS
Each side of the bag has a pocket which runs nearly the height of the bag and has a brass snap. The main picture of this bag shows a red sports drink, which I thought was kind of deceiving until I tried to put a 32 oz. gatorade drink in each side. To my surprise, it actually fit! The pocket doesn't look big enough to hold one of these bottles, but it just barely is. The snap won't fasten with a 32oz bottle in the pocket, but without a bottle the snaps work very well and have a solid feel to them. Just above one side pocket is a small black tag (1cm x 1cm) which says RD in white and shows curved white lines sort of resembling wings. Just above the other side pocket is a small red tag (1cm tall by 3cm wide) that says RAPDOM in white letters. Apparently this stands for Rapid Dominance, which wikipedia says is some sort of military tactic where you just overwhelm your opponent into giving up.
BACK OF BAG
The back of this bag (the side that rests against your body) has one large pocket that is approximately 7" tall (2/3 to 3/4 as tall as the bag's main compartment) and as wide as the bag (approximately 14"). It has one small piece of velcro just below the top edge of the pocket to close it.
UNDER THE FLAP
When you un-velcro the main flap and flip it out of the way, you find two large pouches. Each pouch has a zipper running along the top and a small square of velcro on the outside that the flap's velcro attaches to. The pouches are each approximately 7" tall and 6" wide. The zippers each have a logo like the one by the strap which says RD (same brass color as the rest of the zipper). The pockets both zip closed to the inside of the bag, so you wouldnt be able to reach under the flap and grab the zippers and open the pouches with the main flap closed. This seems more secure than the alternative. Above the right-hand pouch is an olive green tag (slightly lighter colored than the darker olive green of the bag) that says "RAPID DOMINANCE Standard Issue" and has the black RD logo and also a line for you to write your name: "Name_____________________".
MAIN COMPARTMENT
The main compartment of this bag has a long zipper that runs the length of the bag and when you unzip this zipper you find a shiny olive green vinyl lining inside. On one inner wall of the main compartment in the vinyl lining is an inner pocket approximately the size of one of the pouches on the outside. The vinyl is pretty solid, but not too thick, so I wouldn't put anything sharp or heavy in this inner pocket. The main compartment of the bag, however, seems very durable.
