Incredibly well padded, i have a strong sense of security when i put this in my backpack along with all my books as i ride around campus on a bike. However the appeal of a macbook laptop to me, is that it it is very thin which allows me extra space in my backpack. When i put my 15in Macbook pro into the case, it becomes maybe about 1.5 inch thick. I am still very satisfied with the this case, i think it looks very sleek and nice, and i like the velcro vs zipper closing.
All of the product related stuff aside, I bought from Adorama camera and they advertised a new MacCase premium leather 15in sleeve. Whether the product was truly new or not I can not be sure of. When I opened the shipping box, the MacCase box that it would normally come in was essentially ripped as if it had been previously opened. Upon examining the case, I found a very large bend in the back of it, due to the fact that the case packaging looks opened and used, i cannot confirm whether or not the case naturally has the crease, but i am betting it doesn't, so in short, do not buy from ADORAMA CAMERA!

I wanted a bag that had a snug fit for my 13'' Macbook, and offered solid protection but without all the bulk. (More customer reviews)I've been racking my brains over which computer bag would be the best for me. I travel, make presentations, have an expensive new computer as well as the associated gadgetry. Among the bags I seriously considered are Booq- one of the most pricey but definitely the MOST stylish & well built, Brenthaven, of which all the reviews I've read are excellent, BBP- a smaller company with some compelling products, as well as many others. In the end I chose Brenthaven.
Pros: It's well designed, well crafted- though I would have made all the zippers the same, as 2 are not the tough type. It's VERY well padded, and professional in appearance. Has a pocket dedicated to separated documents- a nice touch. There's a pass through for rolling bags so it can sit on top of the bag, leaving the other hand free. It has a padded iPod pocket built in. One of the most important things is that it comes with a lifetime guarantee. To me, this means that the company males a lifelong commitment to every buyer and that's priceless.
Cons: Looks like a computer briefcase. VERY average looking, though some might find that a plus...The vast majority of their products are black bullestic nylon. No pass through grommet for iPod headphones, so you can't listen to your music as you carry it around. It is comfortable to either carry by hand or wear on the shoulder.
I believe in the product; not from reviews and/or testimonials, but from owning many bags, and seeing where this bag improves performance, where others simply didn't.
Prologue: Suffice it to say that each of our needs are individual, personal. This is a solid bag for my needs.

(More customer reviews)My new 15" MacBook Pro laptop needed a sleeve to protect its surface from scratches, to give it some padding to protect it while inside my briefcase and keep it from bouncing around in the briefcase. This product fills the bill.
I often just unzip it on my lap, open the top back as I open the computer. The padded layer keeps it securely on my lap while giving me a layer of protection from the heat from the computer's battery.
When I turn off the computer and zip it back up, the combination of the "memory foam" padding and the nylon exterior gives me a good grip on the computer. I am much more secure carrying the computer inside this sleeve than by itself.
At first the sleeve seemed a little tight like it wouldn't fully protect the corners, but it does now and with style. I like the looks of it.
A good purchase at good price to give your laptop just a little more protection.
