I am pretty small so I wanted a bag that wouldn't be too cumbersome but would still accommodate my macbook, textbooks, wallet, phone, etc. This bag is very compact and still fits all these items. It has been through rain and kept my stuff dry. I would like to see a bit more padding on the straps, however, even though the bag is quite comfortable. I would also prefer just a little more depth and height (ever so slightly)-also, if I take something out the bag topples frontward, which is annoying (the base isn't flat), but worth it because the bag is shaped nicely for my physique and still carries all I need mostly comfortably.

Pacsafe CamSafe 200 Camera Shoulder Bag Review

The demo video that pacsafe links to makes it looks bigger than it is as it is obviously reviewed by a little person thereby making the bag look bigger. Not really a problem but just a little bit of a surprise when actually handling it in person.
The main compartment will comortably fit 2 cameras at the same time (a Rebel XSI with EFS 17-85 and the Rebel T2i with 24-105 4L) with lenses facing the bottom of the bag. There is still a couple of inches of room height wise running full length of the main compartment
The main compartment will also snuggly fit a single Canon 5D Mark II with the 70-200 2.8L II in the horizontal position. That should give you some idea of what to expect size wise.
The fabric and over all quality of the bag is excellent. The zippers seem to work very smoothly and are of excellent quality. I think it will serve my purposes of carrying my T2i/2-105 as well as my travel documents securly while traveling.

Pacsafe Roamsafe 100 Anti-Theft Backpack Review

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased this item for a trip to London and for touring 6 other countries while on a cruise. Since I vowed NEVER to check baggage again, I had been searching for a backpack that could be used as a carryon as well as a day touring bag instead of carrying a purse. I had already purchased the largest allowable carryon suitcase and was determined to pack 2 1/2 weeks of clothes into these two items. The first part of my journey consisted of flying on a small jet and then a larger one to London. It met all carry on requirements for both planes, and fit nicely under the seat. In addition, by having the backpack on my back, my hands were free at all times. I loved the storage compartments in the top part of the back. There were individual pockets available for my Ipod Touch, my global cell phone, and my digital camera. Each pocket used velcro to secure the item in place. I had plenty of room for medicines and my carry on liquid quart bag of items as well as electrical cords, converter and the like. In the front zippered part, the pockets were handy for keeping my travel journal, lipstick, combs, tissues, tour tickets, etc.The side pockets held a water bottle on one side and a disposable rain poncho on the other side. I couldn't believe all the room I had in this bag. It was the perfect day touring pack as well. Since the weather was cooler in the mornings, I often needed a light jacket which fit nicely in the pack along with purchased items such as guide books and trinkets. On the one day it rained, not one thing got wet. This is an amazing bag. (And yes, I really did get 2/12 weeks of clothes (including formal wear) into 1 suitcase carryon and this 1 Pacsafe Backpack. It can be done ladies!) OH..I did purchase a small combination lock to add extra security to the top part of the bag. This gave me extra comfort when traveling in large crowds and while leaving my backpack on the secured tour bus and in the hotel room.

Pacsafe Stashsafe 200 Anti-Theft Hip Pack, Black Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for a trip to SE Asia but have used it this year in a trip to Europe. It survived attempts to fleece me by two packs of pickpocket teams in Barcelona, one on the subway and a second on the street -- who knows if there were other attempts I didn't know about. So I'd say it is a comforting product to have.
7/9/2010: Used during one month trip through Mexico and Guatemala. At end of trip I was using at to hold my Canon G11 compact instead of hauling an additional camera pouch.
Although the pack allows you to use a keyed lock to attach the steel cable that runs through the waistband, I have been using a carabiner that allows me to quickly remove the pouch in airports yet securely connects the waistband cables.

(More customer reviews)My husband and I each took Pacsafe bags on our trip to Europe this fall. I took the slightly larger Pacsafe 200 and he used the smaller Pacsafe 100 for his camera. The Pacsafe system provided us with a great peace of mind. We did not have to worry about our bags being slashed or the zippers being opened and our things being taken. In Barcelona at Parc Guell, my husband observed a pick-pocketing team in action. A young girl of about 10 years old walked over to me, looked at my purse and went back to her father and shook her head, as in "I couldn't get anything". That's proof enough for me that these babies work.
The Pacsafe 200 easily held my iPod (the headphone passthrough is great!), cell phone, Canon A720 camera, several guidebooks, a bottle of water, umbrella, rain coat and plenty of other travel "comforts", as well as small purchases made along the way. There is an unprotected pocket on the back that lies against your body. This was great for items like maps and tour tickets that you wanted easy access to without undoing the tamper-proof zippers on rest of the purse. There is a top large section for bigger items, where I stored my rain jacket, camera and guidebooks. The front panel has two slots for electronics (iPod and cell phone) and some slots for pens, as well as a hook for your keys. There are two unprotected side pockets that you can slide a water bottle or umbrella into. I also used this for my camera in safer areas, when I wasn't taking pictures.
I highly recommend the MetroSafe 200 for those who would like a little extra room for their items when traveling, without being weighed down by a huge purse or tote bag. It could be used as an everyday purse for city dwellers. We spent three weeks in Europe and never had to worry that our electronics or our money would be taken. This was well worth the investment to buy this purse for the protection, peace of mind and also functionality and organization that it provided. I will certainly use again when I travel, and it doubles as a nice personal item for the plane.

Pacsafe Daysafe 100 Anti-Theft Backpack Review

(More customer reviews)I carried this backpack in places like Iraq, Miami, San Juan Puerto Rico. Backpack is large enough to carry items needed for carryon, but quickly gets heavy. As the previous reviewer pointed out,the straps are NOT slashproof. And trust me, you will loose items that migrate to the bottom of the pack. The outside pocket does not have any real zipper compartments to prevent loose items from constantly moving around. The main compartemtn zipper busted and can't be replaced easily.
I ended up moving to the smaller, better organized Treksafe 100. Yes it is smaller, but this means no problems
walking across college campuses, airports and putting in a crowded carryon luggage bin. I saved the slashproof compartment to act as a laptop sleeve.

Pacsafe Slingsafe 200 Anti-Theft Sling Purse Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered this bag for a trip to South America after doing a great amount of online research about travel-safe bags. I usually carry a pretty decent-sized purse for everyday use, so I wanted a travel bag that could hold a sweater, a travel guide, sunscreen, and the usual purse stuff (wallet, etc were in a money belt).
This bag didn't disappoint. It's pretty sleek and doesn't stand out, which was nice. Despite looking like a pretty compact bag, it has lots of room to cram in all my travel stuff. I have even been using it as an everyday bag since i got back home. The travel safety features are great -especially the extra loop that lets you secure the flap that folds over the two zippered sections. I kept my guidebook in the non-secured velcro pocket on the back of the purse, so I didn't have to open the secure flap to get out my map, etc.
Easily adjustable strap was pretty comfortable, materials seemed good quality and overall seems like a well-made bag.
Only two complaints - as other reviewers have said, I had some issues with the main compartment zipper getting stuck from time to time. I added a safety pin to prevent me from opening the zipper all the way, which avoided this problem, but it is a pain if you are at a store and your zipper is stuck open and you have to fiddle with the bag a little bit to get it closed and move on.
Also, because you can unhook the purse strap and connect it around a chair, etc while you're dining (great feature by the way, also made it easy to attach my water bottle loop to the purse!), the strap can get a little twisted, making it a little uncomfortable on your shoulder. I just got used to untwisting the strap before I put it on, not a big issue.
Overall, the good quality of the bag and the comfort I gained from knowing my bag had the security features built in were worth the purchase. I'll use this bag again for travelling in the future.

Pacsafe Camsafe 100 Camera Shoulder Bag Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this bag for my wife to take with her on a trip to Europe. She's frequently concerned about theft, pickpockets, etc., so the security features of this bag are a great relief to her. (We also are using the PacSafe CarrySafe 100 camera strap, and she has a PacSafe purse.) She has back issues so small and light are very important to her.
We have a large camera bag at home for all the various cameras and parts we own. This is NOT the bag you want if you need to carry the kitchen sink with you to cover all possibilities.
That said, this bag does nicely to carry our Nikon D90 with both the 18-55mm lens and our 70-300 lens. It's a little tight on the side where the other lens is, and the pacsafe camera strap is a minor hassle since it does not lay as flat as a regular cloth one would, but that's a small price to pay for peace of mind. Instead of the extra lens, a small(ish) flash could probably fit in the same space, perhaps better than the larger lens (I don't think a big diffuser will fit, however). There is plenty of room in the case's front pouch for an extra battery, cleaning cloth, extra memory cards, IR remote and perhaps a couple of filters. You won't want to carry the AC charger in this case, however. No need to haul that around Paris while shooting, anyway... leave it in the hotel.
The bag looks a lot like a purse (I'll call it a small messenger bag when I carry it LOL). It doesn't scream NIKON or CANON or SONY in bright "steal me!" letters. It's subtle and low-key... perfect for it's intended use.
Construction is excellent. The wire "lock" that locks the zippers seems effective, but don't count on it, and it's a pain to set up. Any thief who is really after it will get it anyway. And any bag that closes with a plastic zipper is completely vulnerable to any ballpoint pen anyway, and this is no exception. PacSafe should consider other options, frankly.
As a camera bag, this is simply a nice, simple, small camera bag. It has the added offer of good protection against pickpockets and casual opportunistic theft... but nothing will stop a determined thief. If you'd like the extra peace of mind, however, and a nice camera bag to boot, this bag is well worth the price.

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these before I moved to the jungles of Thailand for 6 months and I must admit, as a poor traveler I balked at the price and I had my doubts about it's claims of anti-theft. I carried this bag with me every single day, through four different Southeast Asian countries, in cities, in jungles, airports, on busses, trains, and taxis. This bag survived crowded markets with sly thieves and "slash artists", three motorcycle accidents, rainstorms, dust storms, a riot and more wild stories than I can recount. In that entire time I was never robbed, and my things (namely, my notebooks and camera and phone) never got wet. The inside is roomy, and there aren't too many pockets for things to get lost in. The zipper has a clip on it so when you feel you need some extra safety you can lock it and unlock it quickly and discreetly. When I used it I had a small wallet with a little chain that clipped nicely into the inside of the bag so I could always find my money fast, and never worried about someone lifting it while I wasn't paying attention.
I like this bag because of the anti-theft, but it also doesn't look as ugly as most travel bags tend to. Although it certainly isn't something that I would carry around at home, it doesn't scream "tourist" and if you buy the black one it's unobtrusive and doesn't call attention to itself.
At the very end of my stay the steel wires in the straps started to fray and poke out, scratching my arms. However, when you take into account that this bag was on my person literally every day for 6 months it's hard to be critical. I would buy it again, and I would recommend it to anyone who is traveling in an area where they worry about theft.

I used it on a trip to the UK and I was able to hold in an organized fashion a raincoat, a compact umbrella, a couple of guide books, maps, as well as my wallet, passport, and letter size printouts (note that the corners of letter-sized documents do bend a little). It has inside pockets which make it convenient for organizing things, for example passports, boarding passes, mints, lipstick, etc. Also, it has two small hidden pockets on the outside that are very convenient for keeping things handy such as tickets, metro cards, memo notebook, a pen, etc. The security feature that prevents the bag to be opened, although simple, seems to work well for the most part; sometimes it gets twisted and it is hard to open, but in general it works well. I also liked that the zipper can be covered by a flap, providing extra peace of mind. One thing that I didn't like too much was that the inside of the bag was purple! In addition, some of the metal strings of the strap started to stick out by the end of the trip. I am just hoping it lasts because it was an expensive bag...
Bottom line: if you want a proper-sized bag with lots of carrying and organizing capacity that you can use in crowded places without worries, this bag is for you.

Pacsafe Venturesafe 200 Compact Travel Bag Review

(More customer reviews)I hesitated to purchase this after the last reviewer left such a bad review, but having owned two PacSafe bags before this one and successfully traveling around the world with them, I decided to go ahead and take a gamble. I'm glad I did! I purchased it in the Sparrow color, which is a muted purple, almost a grey.. very nice. The shape and the size of it are great.. it's compact, but big enough to hold souvenirs that you might buy during a day (but then, I am not a girl who carries around a bunch of stuff in her purse.. for me, it'll be some cash, a credit card, a lip balm, and my iPod, leaving quite a bit of room in the bag). It seems quite sturdy and has all the usual PacSafe security features.. the clip to hold the zippers shut, the metal lining, etc.
I know that the previous reviewer was concerned about the security features. I think the bottom line is that you probably should not buy this bag thinking that you don't have to be careful at all. You cannot just leave it laying around and assume no one will mess with it. I am sure it is possible for a thief to get into this bag if it's left unattended. But if you are smart about it, walk around with it cross-shoulder and hanging in FRONT of you, I honestly can't see how a pickpocket could snatch your belongings without raising quite a ruckus. They're much more likely to just move on to the next unsuspecting tourist who doesn't have the pacsafe. I don't buy these bags assuming that I am guaranteed to not get pickpocketed, I buy them as an added measure of security to make me feel better walking around with a few things in a readily accessible place. I still keep my passport and all the really important items in a hidden pouch on my body just in case. If I'm going to a place like a beach, I leave the PacSafe in the hotel and I put my credit card, car keys, and whatever else into a waterproof container that stays with me while i'm swimming, snorkeling, etc.
So, thanks PacSafe for making a bag this size! My other two were a little too big and cumbersome to carry around as a daybag, and the pouches were way too small. This one fits the bill perfectly!

Pacsafe Luggage Venturesafe 25L Daypack Review

(More customer reviews)I picked up this pack for a trip around Italy last summer. I loaded up the pack with a Domke insert Domke 720-240 FA-240 4 Compartment Insert (Gray) to give some padding for camera gear (SLR, 3 lenses, flash, and accessories). It also carried my iPad, chargers, GPS, batteries, maps, documents, etc... I still had room to roll up a windbreaker, and a hat into the back easily.
The pack worked well in very crowded areas where it would have been easy to open the pack without me knowing. I found twice that the zippers were attempted to be opened and were partially after standing in a massive crowd in Monza after the F1 race. They were unsuccessful due to the security clasps on the bag.
The pack did its job.
It was mostly comfortable after a couple days breaking it in.
I would recommend this to everyone doing some travel. The fact it doesn't look like a camera bag also helped keep the profile down on it. it's also pretty narrow which made it more comfortable to lug around the countryside and sit with it between my legs on a bus, in a cab, or on a train.

Pacsafe Venturesafe 20L Day Pack Review

(More customer reviews)I used this pack for a 10-day trip to Germany. I felt that my personal items were very secure. The fabric is supposed to be slash proof. I assume it is , but I can't say for sure, as no one tried to slash my bag (thankfully!) This pack has 2 compartments: the main compartment and a front pocket. Both compartments zip up to close. When closed, the zipper pulls (which are some type of metal wire) can be clipped to the bag. This would make it VERY difficult for someone to unzip your bag without you knowing. Also, when closed, the zippers are hidden (under fabric or mesh), so presumably a would-be-thief wouldn't see them right away. After you zip/close the main compartment, there are 2 straps that can be closed over the zipper on each side, so even if a thief began to unzip this bag, the straps would stop the zipper's progress. There is also a chest strap that you can close so no one can pull this pack off of your body. There are 2 outside mesh pockets on each side of the pack for water bottles, etc. This was very convenient. The shoulder straps and chest strap can be adjusted.
The main thing I did not like about this bag is that there are no additional inside compartments. It would be nice to have at least one or two separate pockets inside the main body of this bag. Most "normal" or "regular" backpacks have this. Without one, everything is jumbled together inside the bag (wallet, camera, hair brush, umbrella, maps, travel books, flyers, passports, chapstick, sunscreen, first-aide kit, etc.) This makes it unnecessarily difficult to find things. Another negative is that if you want to "clip" the main compartment zipper for safety, it can only be done at the bottom of one side of the pack. It would be a nice added feature to be able to clip the zipper pulls at the top center of the bag and at the other side, as well.
This back pack was smaller than I had thought (It is smaller than the average school backpack) - but it is a good travel size for travel.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I would have liked some additional internal pockets, but it was OK as it is. This back pack was lightweight. The black color is nondescript. I recommend this bag, although there might be a better model available.
