I am pretty small so I wanted a bag that wouldn't be too cumbersome but would still accommodate my macbook, textbooks, wallet, phone, etc. This bag is very compact and still fits all these items. It has been through rain and kept my stuff dry. I would like to see a bit more padding on the straps, however, even though the bag is quite comfortable. I would also prefer just a little more depth and height (ever so slightly)-also, if I take something out the bag topples frontward, which is annoying (the base isn't flat), but worth it because the bag is shaped nicely for my physique and still carries all I need mostly comfortably.

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased this item for a trip to London and for touring 6 other countries while on a cruise. Since I vowed NEVER to check baggage again, I had been searching for a backpack that could be used as a carryon as well as a day touring bag instead of carrying a purse. I had already purchased the largest allowable carryon suitcase and was determined to pack 2 1/2 weeks of clothes into these two items. The first part of my journey consisted of flying on a small jet and then a larger one to London. It met all carry on requirements for both planes, and fit nicely under the seat. In addition, by having the backpack on my back, my hands were free at all times. I loved the storage compartments in the top part of the back. There were individual pockets available for my Ipod Touch, my global cell phone, and my digital camera. Each pocket used velcro to secure the item in place. I had plenty of room for medicines and my carry on liquid quart bag of items as well as electrical cords, converter and the like. In the front zippered part, the pockets were handy for keeping my travel journal, lipstick, combs, tissues, tour tickets, etc.The side pockets held a water bottle on one side and a disposable rain poncho on the other side. I couldn't believe all the room I had in this bag. It was the perfect day touring pack as well. Since the weather was cooler in the mornings, I often needed a light jacket which fit nicely in the pack along with purchased items such as guide books and trinkets. On the one day it rained, not one thing got wet. This is an amazing bag. (And yes, I really did get 2/12 weeks of clothes (including formal wear) into 1 suitcase carryon and this 1 Pacsafe Backpack. It can be done ladies!) OH..I did purchase a small combination lock to add extra security to the top part of the bag. This gave me extra comfort when traveling in large crowds and while leaving my backpack on the secured tour bus and in the hotel room.

Pacsafe Stashsafe 200 Anti-Theft Hip Pack, Black Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for a trip to SE Asia but have used it this year in a trip to Europe. It survived attempts to fleece me by two packs of pickpocket teams in Barcelona, one on the subway and a second on the street -- who knows if there were other attempts I didn't know about. So I'd say it is a comforting product to have.
7/9/2010: Used during one month trip through Mexico and Guatemala. At end of trip I was using at to hold my Canon G11 compact instead of hauling an additional camera pouch.
Although the pack allows you to use a keyed lock to attach the steel cable that runs through the waistband, I have been using a carabiner that allows me to quickly remove the pouch in airports yet securely connects the waistband cables.

Pacsafe Luggage Toursafe Sling Backpack Review

I used it on a trip to the UK and I was able to hold in an organized fashion a raincoat, a compact umbrella, a couple of guide books, maps, as well as my wallet, passport, and letter size printouts (note that the corners of letter-sized documents do bend a little). It has inside pockets which make it convenient for organizing things, for example passports, boarding passes, mints, lipstick, etc. Also, it has two small hidden pockets on the outside that are very convenient for keeping things handy such as tickets, metro cards, memo notebook, a pen, etc. The security feature that prevents the bag to be opened, although simple, seems to work well for the most part; sometimes it gets twisted and it is hard to open, but in general it works well. I also liked that the zipper can be covered by a flap, providing extra peace of mind. One thing that I didn't like too much was that the inside of the bag was purple! In addition, some of the metal strings of the strap started to stick out by the end of the trip. I am just hoping it lasts because it was an expensive bag...
Bottom line: if you want a proper-sized bag with lots of carrying and organizing capacity that you can use in crowded places without worries, this bag is for you.

Pacsafe Luggage Venturesafe 25L Daypack Review

(More customer reviews)I picked up this pack for a trip around Italy last summer. I loaded up the pack with a Domke insert Domke 720-240 FA-240 4 Compartment Insert (Gray) to give some padding for camera gear (SLR, 3 lenses, flash, and accessories). It also carried my iPad, chargers, GPS, batteries, maps, documents, etc... I still had room to roll up a windbreaker, and a hat into the back easily.
The pack worked well in very crowded areas where it would have been easy to open the pack without me knowing. I found twice that the zippers were attempted to be opened and were partially after standing in a massive crowd in Monza after the F1 race. They were unsuccessful due to the security clasps on the bag.
The pack did its job.
It was mostly comfortable after a couple days breaking it in.
I would recommend this to everyone doing some travel. The fact it doesn't look like a camera bag also helped keep the profile down on it. it's also pretty narrow which made it more comfortable to lug around the countryside and sit with it between my legs on a bus, in a cab, or on a train.

Pacsafe Venturesafe 20L Day Pack Review

(More customer reviews)I used this pack for a 10-day trip to Germany. I felt that my personal items were very secure. The fabric is supposed to be slash proof. I assume it is , but I can't say for sure, as no one tried to slash my bag (thankfully!) This pack has 2 compartments: the main compartment and a front pocket. Both compartments zip up to close. When closed, the zipper pulls (which are some type of metal wire) can be clipped to the bag. This would make it VERY difficult for someone to unzip your bag without you knowing. Also, when closed, the zippers are hidden (under fabric or mesh), so presumably a would-be-thief wouldn't see them right away. After you zip/close the main compartment, there are 2 straps that can be closed over the zipper on each side, so even if a thief began to unzip this bag, the straps would stop the zipper's progress. There is also a chest strap that you can close so no one can pull this pack off of your body. There are 2 outside mesh pockets on each side of the pack for water bottles, etc. This was very convenient. The shoulder straps and chest strap can be adjusted.
The main thing I did not like about this bag is that there are no additional inside compartments. It would be nice to have at least one or two separate pockets inside the main body of this bag. Most "normal" or "regular" backpacks have this. Without one, everything is jumbled together inside the bag (wallet, camera, hair brush, umbrella, maps, travel books, flyers, passports, chapstick, sunscreen, first-aide kit, etc.) This makes it unnecessarily difficult to find things. Another negative is that if you want to "clip" the main compartment zipper for safety, it can only be done at the bottom of one side of the pack. It would be a nice added feature to be able to clip the zipper pulls at the top center of the bag and at the other side, as well.
This back pack was smaller than I had thought (It is smaller than the average school backpack) - but it is a good travel size for travel.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I would have liked some additional internal pockets, but it was OK as it is. This back pack was lightweight. The black color is nondescript. I recommend this bag, although there might be a better model available.

Pacsafe 85 Anti-Theft Backpack And Bag Protector Review

(More customer reviews)I have bought the Pacsafe backpack & bag protector, and after a first look, I really don't understand why it is made out of such heavy and thick metal, because the closing purple thing is made out of plastic that can be broken a lot more easily than the thick metal can...A LOT MORE.
This is somewhat a bit disturbing.
Another observation I had about this, is that, obviously, the backpack pockets can still be opened..so I'm really wondering,
what is it good for ?!
The only thing good about it, is that it might make the rubbers think twice about messing with your bag and wasting 5 more minutes
on stealing your stuff, instead of just looking for an easier bag to make his owner cry later.
I gave this product a 4 stars just because I bought it, and want to feel good about my money being spent wisely..I guess.
