(More customer reviews)Constructed with a nylon shell, this case is durable. The strap has a pad consisting of the same memory foam that encases your notebook for comfort. Carrying the case is comfortable using the strap or handles. This is a top loading carrying case which is easy to get the notebook in and out easily. The carry strap is on the top of the case and bridges across both 'leaves' of the case to distribute the weight.
The compartments in the front are 'tight' meaning that not much can be placed into them - being composed of nylon, there is no elasticity. A full length divider on the exterior can hold a small file folder or a thin magazine. Space for a spare battery AND a plug would be pushing it to capacity. I don't use an external mouse but it would be uncomfortable for the 'little critter'.
A keyring is present for your keys. Note this case is for a minimalist looking to go light - not carry everything in his or her office.
The foam is soft and will reduce the shocks of daily use. The construction of the zippers is solid - as is the carrying strap.
The design comes in a black and charcoal color scheme - sorry, no other colors exist.
It accomodates up to a 15 inch notebook but my notebook is a 14.1" widescreen which fits well and there is some room to spare.
Overall, I am happy with this case which is lightweight and is a refreshing change from the heavier leather bags and notebook backpacks that are on the market.

Not much room for much else, but I didn't want to be dragging around a bunch of stuff. Typical Lowepro fine quality. I've got several other Lowepro camera and computer bags. Always excellent for their designed purposes.

Case Logic PNM-214 14-Inch Laptop Messenger Bag (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)My Dell fits easily in this bag. It is light and nicely padded. I wouldn't let a car run over it, but it feels like the padding is thick enough to save you if you drop it from hip length, though I'm not going to try it ;-). It should certainly protect your netbook if it gets knocked around, especially in a subway, etc. I was very surprised with all of the pockets, especially the one on the flap, it's much larger than I expected and can hold quite a bit. You can easily store an iTouch, camera, batteries, memory cards, documents, and much more. In fact, since most airlines allow you one carry-on AND one personal bag, this can count as a personal bag....and, it is padded so nicely that you can fit it into a carry-on easily enough. The material feels very durable and almost rugged. It is relatively comfortable except the shoulder pad a pretty stiff, and the strap is a little short for me. Nothing terrible, and it would not stop me from buying it, but I wanted to point it out. I am not trying to nit pick, however, I think that it should be noted. I am very happy with it. The Lima Green accent colors are not as bad as I thought they would be and actually do not bother me too much....you get used to it. I probably owuld have preferred black or dark blue, but this is also another minor issue. There are no deal breakers for me here, it is everything I would expect for my netbook and I plan to put it through its paces, as I travel quite a bit, and will update if anything differs from this review. You should note that this is not a weekend bag that also fits a netbook/laptop, rather, it is a netbook bag that has enough room for a few other things. For me, it's perfect!

It turned out that the stretchable sides perfectly fit my laptop, although it might feel a little bit tight to someone else - there is literally no extra room in it and it takes some effort to pull my laptop out. But if you have a X200 with normal size battery, this sleeve will be just right. Also, I LOVE the stripe design!

Built NY 15" Laptop Sleeve - Stripe Review

(More customer reviews)I love the sleeve. This is an older model that is 13" to 15" but it does fit my new 15" macbook pro. It is a snug fit. I pinch the corner up to zip it closed and then put both zippers on one side of the sleeve rather than keep them in the middle.
I did want a tight fit because I am going to try to fit it into a Tom Bihn sling that has a place for a 15" laptop. I hope that it fits there because it will be very secure and safe.
I use the sleeve to place beneath the macbook when I am using it. This is to protect the bottom from scratches. I called Apple about which side to place next to the foam insert. I didn't know this but there is a nice foam insert inside the sleeve that I place next to the screen side of the macbook. Apparently this is the side that needs the most shock protection. I could have figured that but Apple did confirm that the screen does need more shock protection than the base.
I love the stripes and the sleeve being machine washable is oh so nice. Highly recommended.
