(More customer reviews)I initially bought a couple of these cubes when I purchased my Eagle Creek Luggage for a trip to Italy. They were so convenient, they kept the luggage neat and orderly; there was no need to rummage though a stack of clothes to find an item, creating more wrinkled clothes; simple and orderly for airport inspections. Its like a file drawer and what could be more appealing with the varied sizes for specific type items! I then bought several more cubes in varying sizes for both my and my husband's luggage. Packing, unpacking, repacking as you travel--these are "must haves".

Rick Steves 62" Towel Review

(More customer reviews)I was introduced to packing cubes about 2 years ago and love them! They keep clothes organized and keep your suitcase from turning into a rumpled mess. If on a long trip, you can designate a cube for dirty laundry, refold it as you go and when it's time to pack for home, you're done! If carrying clothes in a duffle, keeps them from turning into a big wad. Wouldn't travel without them!

Eagle Creek Travel Gear OVERLAND Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great looking bag, inside and out. The right size for overhead bins, good pockets, well made with substantial materials.
BUT...I had to return the bag because of the handles. The handles are thin and not padded, which can be uncomfortable when carrying a fully loaded bag. Most competing bags have padded handles. The backstraps are fine, but you need the flexibility to grab a bag from any side and carry comfortably.
I love Eagle Creek products but this one let me down, it could be a excellent bag if they fix the handles.
I like the Go Lite or (surprise to me) the LL Bean carryon which I used in Europe for 3 weeks.

Then after a particularly frustrating trip where searching through the suitcase for what I wanted caused stress and wrinkled clothes, I decided to give them a try. Well, I am a believer now! This large set is the third set I have purchased because my husband and I argue over the one large packing bag we had from a previously purchased mixed size set. Packing cubes are great to keep clothes organized, neat and if you have to do that quick "overweight" shuffle at the airport, you can take one pack out and throw it in your carry on easily. They are also peace of mind if your bag is selected to be searched at the airport things won't go flying out of an overly stuffed suitcase! I highly recommend them for anyone who loves to travel. These large ones are great for pants, dresses, jackets, and sweaters.

(More customer reviews)Bought this for my wife who has scoliosis. Being in NYC you're on your feet a lot and always on pavement. Because of her scoliosis she can't really carry a purse or shoulder bag so a backpack works best. She had a regular old Jansport backpack that finally fell apart so it was time to shop for a new one.
I was skeptical of this bag since very few ergonomic products seem to work. This however works great. Because of the weight distribution of the bag's contents it sits higher on the back and the weight is spread over the shoulders and thorasic spine. Whereas most packs will sit like a sack and put a lot of pressure on the lumbar spine.
This bag is about the size of normal school backpack so don't expect to go backpacking across Europe with it, but for every day tromping around the city it can't be beat. Plus it's a good looking pack...

It arrived as a set of four (as shown in other listings for this item, but at higher prices)--so definitely choose this listing. The quality was not as classy as what I expected from the pictures, however. The blue cube, for example, is a bright duffel bag blue, rather than a muted blue.

I was shortly going to take a 25 day independent trip with my 3 closest friends to China and needed this as part of my luggage. I searched a lot online and went to REI too. I chose this pack, because of the reasonable cost, perfect size, lighter weight, quality, and number, size and arrangement of the compartments including the two convenient outside water bottle holders. I also am familiar with Rick Steves' Travels to Europe TV shows and know that he is personally involved in choosing products that will carry his name. The backpack was even better than expected, very comfortable to wear, and will last for many years. It did not even show any wear from my trip. I could not be happier.

* Top loading, with a cinch close -- similar to a large backpacking bag. This is great, for example, on an airplane since you access your stuff from the top, and don't lose anything. In fact, my favorite feature is that I feel safer that I will not lose objects from the bag. The side effect of this is that the backpack never fully opens.
* Side computer slot. Super convenient for a laptop/tablet.
