Eagle Creek Travel Accessories Pack-It Double Cube Review

Eagle Creek Travel Accessories Pack-It Double Cube

I initially bought a couple of these cubes when I purchased my Eagle Creek Luggage for a trip to Italy. They were so convenient, they kept the luggage neat and orderly; there was no need to rummage though a stack of clothes to find an item, creating more wrinkled clothes; simple and orderly for airport inspections. Its like a file drawer and what could be more appealing with the varied sizes for specific type items! I then bought several more cubes in varying sizes for both my and my husband's luggage. Packing, unpacking, repacking as you travel--these are "must haves".

I use this thing more than any other. It's light, sturdy, and secure. Great for shopping--keeps my phone and other things together and leaves my hands free. Good for travel, yes, but I use it almost every day at work when I have to be away from my desk but also need to have my phone at hand.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It 2 Sided Cube Review

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It 2 Sided Cube
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is roomy and didn't eat up a big chunk of my suitcase. I was able to fit at least 5 shirts rolled up in each side for at least 10 ladies shirts. The zippers and construction seem sturdy enough that it should last for years. It's also nice that the mesh allows you to see the contents easily. I believe one side is completely mesh the other is about 4/5 mesh.
The benefit of any packing bag like this is that your clothes and items don't fall out of the suitcase when it is opened - especially if you have a clam shell style suitcase. Which should help ensure that if the TSA opens your bag, you won't have clothing damaged by being caught in the sides of the bag. I think it also makes it easier for your bags to be x-rayed and less likely to be opened by TSA since the clothing is nice and neat, therefore easier for them to determine the contents of your bag.
Another benefit is when you have to live out of your suitcase. It's definitely a lot easier to deal with these bags then shuffle through a suitcase with the clothing laid into it.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Wallaby Review

This is so convenient while traveling - just fill it up with your makeup and other personal products, and throw it in your luggage. When you arrive, just unzip and use the hanger to attach it to any convenient rod in the bathroom. You don't have to unpack it, and everything is divided into compartments within easy reach. When you're ready to go, just slide the hanger back into its pouch, zip it back up, and throw it back into your luggage. No more trying to find room for everything on small sink counters or leaving things behind. It's a time saver, and so convenient, I'll never travel again without it.

I have 3 and bought 5 others as gifts for friends. Comes in handy when traveling...no more taking off your belt and shuffling through the X-ray machine barefooted with one hand holding your boarding pass and one hand holding your pants to keep it from falling down....with this belt, you can confidently walk through with dignity...at least until they use the new machines that allow them to see all of your "dignity"...

I was introduced to packing cubes about 2 years ago and love them! They keep clothes organized and keep your suitcase from turning into a rumpled mess. If on a long trip, you can designate a cube for dirty laundry, refold it as you go and when it's time to pack for home, you're done! If carrying clothes in a duffle, keeps them from turning into a big wad. Wouldn't travel without them!

Osprey Packs SpaceStation 100 Review

Osprey Packs SpaceStation 100
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
EDIT: We've since brought this monster on a couple of big (international) trips. No one charged us or said anything about it being oversized. It did get completely thrashed and we can't make a claim since it is oversized (oversized bags are excluded from the airlines' baggage damage claim policy). So, until we get caught and forced to pay, it sure is awesome as a way to travel with kids. We a) fit our big kid's booster inside, b) strap our other carseat to the outside straps and the thing doubles as an in-airport stroller! Super fantastic!
We bought this to take on trips with our kids. Its a phenomenal bag - I love Osprey gear. However, it exceeds maximum 62 inch dimensions - will cost you $100 to take on a plane.

Designed for travelers with modest yet still significant load requirements, the Osprey SpaceStation 100 pack makes a great hauler for your next road trip. The pack--which boasts 6,100 total cubic inches of storage space--is built around a huge main compartment that carries a wide variety of items, along with a large base compartment that opens with a panel zipper. In between the two compartment sits a large bellows, making it easy to keep your gear sorted and separate. The pack also offers two divided and one full pocket on each side, giving you plenty of room for extra items, such as flashlights, small digital cameras, sunscreen, and more. And users will love the wet/dry pocket, which not only keeps special items dry during rainstorms, but also lets you separate wet swimming suits and other items from the rest of your clothes.
Don't worry about jostling your gear while wearing the SpaceStation 100, as the pack's aluminum frame will keep everything safe and sound, with StraightJacket straps and a handy compression system keeping the gear secure. Other details include a high-road chassis with extra-large wheels that roll equally well over cobblestone and concrete and six grab loops for easy carrying. The SpaceStation 100 measures 18 by 44 by 16 inches (W x H x D) and weighs only 9 pounds, 11 ounces.

The pocket/fabric part seems fine.
However, the belt & BUCKLE/CLASP IS VERY FLIMSY and I was afraid the whole thing would fall off while I'm walking around or into the toilet. Sure enough, as I was leaving my home to go to the airport, the buckle broke and can't fix it.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear X-Small Pack-It Sac Organizer Review

Eagle Creek Travel Gear X-Small Pack-It Sac Organizer
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm a big fan of most Eagle Creek Products, and the xsmallPack-It-Sac Organizers are no exception. I've had a number of these for years and they have held up well. Actually, I've never had one wear out yet. I use a variety of different colors and sizes of them (I have 12 of them) for travel to easily locate items in my carry-on pack. My favorite uses include: Different currencies when travelling to multiple international destinations; Passports and travel documents; Small electronic devices (e.g. my ipod & ear buds; digital camera & cables, spare batteries, extra memory cards): Travel medications and first aid supplies; House & car keys when travelling so that they can be easily found when arriving home. In my car, it's where I keep my meter/toll coins. The x-small size is my favorite. I find black to be the least useful color because my packs/carry-ons tend to be black or dark on the inside and it's easy to misplace the black version. I do wish they had more colors available but it's easy to add distinguishing things to them to make them unique. I used to use zip lock bags for these purposes, which are of course much cheaper, but they aren't as durable. The clip is very useful because the sac can be clipped in place in a carry-on to easily locate items such as a passport when going through security at the airport. I own a dozen or more of them, and love them. They make life easier like many of the other Eagle Creek organizers. (Try the packing cubes to make unpacking your suitcase in a hotel easy. Everything out of the suitcase in less than a minute & same ease with re-packing). Plus I really like the unconditional guarantee. Eagle Creek really stands behind their stuff. I highly recommend them.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Deluxe Security Belt Review

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Deluxe Security Belt
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I spent two months wearing this belt every day, so I feel as though I can effectively comment on the usefulness of the product. I am an individual with a fine boned frame and small hips, so my comments will be directed towards that. Further, I am in the age group where female pants never come near the navel, so is also affects my review. This was a good purchase, and no matter which country I was in, with family or in a hostel, I always wore this belt.
PROS
*Great way to keep all important documents in one SAFE place
*Zippered pockets (and mesh dividers) made it easier to divide items
*Had enough room for over $1,500 in cash in varying currencies in bills and coins(so, different weights, thicknesses, and sizes), in addition to my passport, security badge, and 6 cards (credit, ID, insurance), and transportation/tourist function passes
*Material is lightweight
*Item is sturdy and well-built, feels like it will last...and it made it through two months of constant use and still looks new
*I was able to wear it 24 hours/day for two months and had no allergic reactions/adverse side-effects
CONS
*Sticking your hands down your pants to grab money isn't the most attractive or inconspicuous thing to do
*In crowded areas, it can be a hassle to actually get to the items because the money belt is under clothes. Arguably, this is why it IS safe, but I certainly had some weird looks while seemingly fishing in my pants for my money...especially noticeable when in line at busy venue
*Very difficult for women to wear, especially those of us who don't wear pants that come to the waist or loose fitting pants...not the most convenient thing to wear
*Maybe due to my body type, but this slipped down a lot and put a lot of pressure on my abdomen, I adjusted it throughout the day to no avail
*Must be placed carefully, otherwise bending is restricted depending on where your body naturally folds
*Can be irritating to maneuver around when using the restroom...pull it up, or down with pants? No matter which I chose, it was awkward and the buckle popped off quite a few times (and one time almost swung right into the toilet) and this is especially noticeable if carrying lots of coins, as I was
Overall, I recommend this for anyone traveling anywhere (I was in a country with lower crime rates than the USA), including theme parks. I work in an airport and have seen all sorts of odd contraptions for important documents, and still believe this money belt to be the best choice. As happy as I am to no longer wear the thing, the fact that I was able to put up with it for two straight months while hiking through cities and mountains is a testament to the comfort, durability, and safety, and would purchase again/recommend to others.

Great money belt in terms of number of compatrments and accessibility. I got a skin rash on my stomach where I wore the belt and I do not have sensitive skin. I think this is if the weather got hot I would perspire under the belt. After one trip the belt is worn looking at the back an the material is fraying. Also some thoght should be given to how to secure the loose strap to the money belt so this is not left hanging

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Security Wallet,Tan Review

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Security Wallet,Tan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Eagle Creek Travel Gear Security Wallet I've purchased twice (the original was given away and I liked it so much I wanted to replace it). It is made of soft cloth material and all-plastic hardware so it does not cause any skin chafing and is light and comfortable. It has a zipper pocket for $, and some smaller pockets for receipts, etc. It easily holds multiple passport books (if traveling with family and one person is holding all documents). The neck strap is of light material so doesn't create a burden on your neck. This product is also thin (unless you stuff it full of contents) so it isn't easily noticeable underneath your shirt or blouse. There's pockets sized for credit cards, too. I can't think of how to improve this product other than maybe have a place for a small miniature writing pen. This product is highly recommended.
I have a hidden waist pouch product from the same manufacturer of similar material and I prefer this neck pouch as it's more easily accessible when traveling.

Eagle Creek Cloudstream Wheeled Tote Review

Eagle Creek Cloudstream Wheeled Tote
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm a big fan of Eagle Creek, and once again, they haven't disappointed. This time I was looking for an under-seat tote that could hold all the carry on things I want to use on board (or that need special handling)- this includes room for a computer, a camera, crocheting, books to read, food for the trip ... and then some. My non-negotiable requirements:
* it *must* fit under the seat. Despite what some luggage salesmen will tell you, 8.5" is about as high as you want to go. Some airlines have a bit more space, but 8.5 is safe on all but those tiny commuter planes.
* it should be able to roll down the aisle comfortably, so I don't have to carry it to my seat.
* it has to have wheels (though I usually do carry on & can slip a tote over the handles, sometimes I have to check my bags)
* it has to have good construction (the life-time warrantee is also nice)
* it has to have a slip panel to slide over the handle of my bigger luggage
* the wheels should be against the sides of the bag to minimize tipping over when going up & down stairs & curbs
More pluses for this bag:
* a netbook in a padded sleeve will fit comfortably in the front zippered pocket making it easy to pull out & stuff back in before & after security clearance without holding up the line for hours. Note: a 15" laptop will not fit.
* Eagle Creek designers are great at having just the right packing spaces to make the best use of a bag. There is a zippered inner pocket that can be used for valuables or medication you don't want falling out of the bag during the trip and the side pockets will be great for smaller things like earphones & ipod & glasses. The big inner space hasn't been divided so bulky things like crocheting will fit easily.
* this bag was one of the cheapest I looked at
I looked at a number of other bags that came close. Most failed because they were too deep, some failed for construction (handles that stick or cheap material) and one for not having wheels flush on the sides. I would have continued using what I've been using (too heavy, no wheels) before buying a bag that didn't have everything I wanted. Didn't need to wait.
