The interior has 4 slit pockets and one zipper pocket on the part that houses the laptop. I have a 15.6" laptop and it fits snuggly in the 16" compartment... not too snug where you can't get it out. The padding of the bag is great too. There is enough room, even with the laptop and interior pockets containing items to house a 1-inch binder!! The outside has a Velcro pocket on the back and two pockets on the front: one that is Velcro and big enough to store your mouse and the second that will hold the power cords. The bottom has two rubber feet that help it remain upright and from getting too dirty if you set it on the floor. This bag is designed well enough to keep you organized and looking good!!
