(More customer reviews)I used to check out corporate laptops to workers attending trade shows or traveling to visit clients. They were a rare and precious commodity themselves and we sent them out in large shoulder bags.
So when I got my laptop on Black Friday, I wondered what I should protect it with. I have children and often carry a back pack and really don't have the ability to carry a big bag with me. Plus, new laptops don't require all the gadgets the ones I checked out did.
I looked at a few sleeves in an office supply store (you'd know the name) and they seemed *very* flimsy. This sleeve is significantly thicker, though I still wouldn't expect it to do much all by itself to protect my laptop from a drop. The color is a nice cross between berry & burgundy and the zipper seems pretty sturdy. I've had it about a month and use it about once a day.
Oh, it qualifies to go through TSA security in this sleeve. Just don't put anything but your laptop in the sleeve. Keep your power cord and any other accessories in whatever carry on you are using and put the laptop it the sleeve alone in the bucket or on the belt.
