(More customer reviews)I use this case to carry on photo equipment when I fly. It meets all airline requirements. I recently went from San Francisco to Romania via Germany and in all instances it was legal size. It even fit in the overhead for the small 25 passenger turbojet prop planes.
It is also well padded with 3/4 inch+ inserts and thick top, bottom, and side padding as well. It's virtually crush proof because of the solid plastic bottom that comes up a few inches on all sides, and the sides are hard and reinforced also.
Everything about this case is bullet proof, the wheels, handle, fabric, everything. It also folds down into a flat, long platform that accepts 150lbs on top of it, acting like a luggage carrier itself.
The only problem I have with it is that the pop-up handle is a little short for me, but I'm over 6'3" tall too. For anyone 6' or less it would be fine.
