(More customer reviews)Does as claimed - it enables my North American cords to connect to AU/NZ electrical outlets. No complaints on this item, I stayed mostly in hotels whose outlets worked fine with this adapter. This is an adapter and NOT a converter - the electrical current is unchanged from the outlet to whatever you connect to the adapter.
As a side note, I did encounter several outlets that utilized a rounded ground pin rather than this units slat-type ground pin.
