Should you put a dog in it? Probably not: it isn't fashion conscious enough for you to look acceptably ridiculous. It's a canvas bag.
Should you actually parachute with it? Probably not: while it looks like a parachute bag, its not. It's a canvas bag.
Do you want to carry things on your back from point a to point b? Then this is a good bag for you. I have been using it recently for transporting gym goods: from knee braces to gym shorts, water bottles, yoga pads, whatever, if it can fit in a bag, this can carry it. The material is thick and the seams are well stitched so it seems to be durable; after a month's use it is like new... except for that stain. But that was my fault.
