(More customer reviews)I used this retractable lock for my trip to India and used it mostly on train rides to secure my backpack to the metal luggage racks overhead. It is really light and fits in the palm of one's hand. You can set the code to 3 numbers of your choosing. To use the lock, you pull the retractable wire, wrap it through whatever you want secured (like backpack straps), and reinsert the wire into the body of the lock. It was easy to use. The lock is best thought of as a theft deterrant and is not theft foolproof. The wire is fairly thin w/ a plastic sheath so I am sure someone with a wire cutter or knife could cut it but that takes more effort and time.
