Okay, this little messenger bag/purse is just terrific. For how small it is, and it is very small, it has so many pockets! I counted and there are literally 10 pockets (including cell phone pocket) and that's not even including all the card and ID slots either, which it has a lot of. Here's a list of what I am keeping in this purse. And when it says "just what i need", it means so much more lol
* change in the front flap pocket
* old prepaid cell phone in the second flap outerpocket
* various cards in the second flap outer slots
* receipts and other papers in the second flap's inner pocket
* drivers license in the card slot under the second flap
* chap stick, mirror, tweezers in the mesh pocket
* check book in the plastic see through pocket
* cash in the pocket under that
* extra phone battery in the pocket under my cash
* another pocket which I havent put anything in yet.
* the main compartment also holds: two bottles of lotion and sun screen, one hair brush, one stick of deodorant, and my menstrual cup
* and then there's the cell phone pocket in the back which has my other phone.
Simply amazing that I could fit all of that, but I did, and I'm sure others use much less than I do, so they won't have any problems with this purse :)
As for the strap, it is really... thin. The material is the same as on many of the other Travelon purses, but it's not a very wide strap. I guess they figured since it was a very small purse that most people using it would not need a thicker strap. That makes sense, but for someone who likes to push this bag to it's limits like I do, that strap will not hold up very long. I had another Travelon bag with an even thicker strap and that one still came off on both sides. I had to sew it the first time, but after it broke on the other side I just figured I'd get a new bag anyway since that one was worn out. And now I have this one :) I do like the adjustable aspect on this strap though. I kind of wish it could adjust to a smaller length though so that I could carry it under my arm, which is a tad safer in my opinion
Other than that, no complaints. I really loved the two flap feature, and I like where they placed the cell phone pouch, in back, so no one can just grab your cell phone and take off with it.
I've owned two Travelon bags before this one and they are very durable. I go everywhere with my purse pretty much and the material has definitely stood the test of time. These bags usually last me a year or more before the material even begins to frey. I also enjoy the fact that they make most of their bags with expandable pockets, otherwise I would have a lot of trouble fitting all my stuff in there.
If you want an extremely compact bag, but with lots of room and a ton of pockets, and magnetized flaps, this is an awesome bag! Just make sure you don't carry items that are too heavy, because I predict the strap will not hold up for any longer than the other did.
