(More customer reviews)I used it and it was decent but it's WAY smaller than I was led to believe...AND it's definitely too small for the price I paid. If you're getting one of these things, make sure you know the exact dimensions. I wound up buying another pair of something just like it (although each of them is bigger and roomier than this one!) when I happened upon a boxed set in a store...wish I'd seen that set first and saved the money I spent on this one...I spent less to buy TWO than what I paid for ONE.

Royce Leather RFID Blocking Passport Currency Wallet Review

(More customer reviews)I got this wallet to help protect my new passport as well as shield the RFID signal while I'm on the road. The leather is soft and seems to be good quality, the credit card slots are well formed and hold cards well. The money section is nicely separated for US sized currency as well as larger bills. The only complaint I can find is that my 52 page passport is a VERY tight fit in the wallet. My wife's "normal" or 24page one fits just fine and I'm sure in time the sleeve will stretch to make it easier to get mine in/out in time. The inside vertical pockets behind the pictured passport sleeve or the credit cards are not big enough to slide the new passports into but would hold some items almost that size. All in all I'm very happy with the purchase.

(More customer reviews)I like this item Royce Passport Holder . I like that it is thin so it is not bulky and heavy . Simple design . The only flaw in the design is that the passport slot is a bit too tight. If I continue to use it the way it is design to be it will ripped apart . The only way to preserve its longevity is to insert the passport in the slot intended for cash bills. This may be a slight flaw of design but this is fairly common in wallets ,that is why it is important to try to insert credit cards or other cards on those slot in the wallet that one may be interested to buy .This is common in those wallets sold in the sidewalk .

I have an IPhone that likes to kill every hotel key I'm issued and I am constantly stopping at the front desk to have my key refreshed - or if I forget, going up to my room only to realize its happened again and back I go to the front desk. This Wallet kills 2 birds with one stone. I can put the passport into the wallet in an open position so I don't have to remove it from the Wallet at customs or security, saving time as we all race to juggle our ID's and take off our shoes. And then I slip my new hotel key into the wallet and it does indeed keep it fresh as well as provide a secure place so I always know where I stashed the room key - I even keep the key folder here so I can remember what room I am in today. Also a bit more stylish - I have the wine cover and it is easy to find in my dark purse or briefcase interiors.

The Travelon passport case really does keep your RFID passport safe. It has plenty of room for credit cards, train tickets and admission tickets. The current (2009) Japan Rail Pass also slides easily into the pocket alongside your passport. The ballistic nylon material with (faux?) leather accent is low key, and won't draw the attention that a home made aluminum foil envelope or Prada wallet would. Perfect for any traveler with an RFID passport who doesn't want their identity stolen.
Details -
RFID passports have a serious defect - they can be read and possibly altered remotely. While this is difficult and expensive to do with today's technology, it can easily be done by people with sufficient motivation. In five year's time it will only be easier.
The correct way to defend against radio manipulation of your passport is with a Faraday Cage. An ideal Faraday cage completely encloses the object you want to protect, leaving no gaps.
I was concerned that this wallet would only pancake the RF read zone of my passport. When I arrived at NRT in Tokyo, the passport control officer was completely unable to read my passport without taking it completely out of my Travelon case. Future RFID sensors may still be able to snoop a passport in this case, but I'll be comfortable keeping my passport safely stored in its travelon case for the next few years.

This passport cover was designed as a generic passport cover, and as a result, it is almost oversized for a U.S. passport. The lining material is stiff and crinkles when you close the cover.
If you are giving this as a gift-- pass on this and go for something more expensive. If, on the other hand, you want the most inexpensive passport cover available, this is it.
