(More customer reviews)The Victorinox Cybertool 41 is the perfect tool for computer-oriented people. Unlike the regular Cybertool, which is strictly for computers, the Cybertool 41 also has a wood saw and a metal file, which make it a great tool for just about anything.
It has 41 tools, all of which are very well placed and of extreme quality. This is a real Swiss-Army knife.
The construction of the Cybertool 41 is a work of great workmanship. It is larger than the Cybertool, but not as large as you'd think it be to have 41 tools. 41 tools is a lot by the way. Here is a little review of each(I have not used all of them):
Large Blade - A good blade. Very Sharp.
Small Blade - The most useful of the two blades. For opening packages and such. Very sharp as well.
Bit Wrench - This is the #1 tool in the whole pocket knife. It locks at 90 degrees so you can have more torque, or at 180 degrees, so you can reach further away.
Bit Case - It has a range of bits for the bit wrench. It is also very cool in how it swings out. It would be nice if there were some smaller hex bits. They would come in handy to open hard drives. As for actual screwdrivers, it has all you'll ever need.
Ball Point Pen - Amazing little thing. It is very simple, but very advanced. It is pressurized, so it writes upside down, underwater, and in 0g (astronauts use a Cybertool 41 I believe). Blue ink.
DIP Switch Setter - Very ingenious to build this into the pen. It does the job of setting DIP switches.
Can Opener - Well, just a can opener, but what more do you want?
3mm Small Screwdriver - It is built into the tip of the can opener. Very well placed and useful.
Bottle Opener - The most useful tool. It locks at 90 and 180 degrees, so it is very good to use as a lever to get things open, other than bottles.
6mm Large Screwdriver - Built into the tip of the bottle opener. It is very useful when you lock the bottle opener at 90 degrees. It allows for a lot of torque.
Wire Stripper - Built into the base of the bottle opener. Easy to miss.
Reamer - Nothing too fancy. I haven't used it.
Sewing Eye - Not used it. Seems like it can do the job.
Corkscrew - Well placed in the middle. Allows for a lot of force to be used. Sharp tip.
Mini Screwdriver - The placing of this tool is the best in the whole pocket knife. It actually screws onto the corkscrew. It is very small. Very useful for things like screws in glasses.
Straight Pin - This is also very ingeniously placed. You have to open the corkscrew to remove it. It is very useful for opening up CD/DVD drives that are locked. It is long too. It slides in securely, but it is easy to loose.
Key Ring - This is actually kind of useless. It would be a shame to put this high quality product on a key chain. Get a case and protect it.
Toothpick - It can come it handy. Made out of plastic.
Tweezers - Very useful for their intended purpose. Also a good screwdriver if ever needed.
Pliers - The coolest tool. It is actually a good sized pair of pliers. It is the thickest tool in the pocket knife. Very srtong.
Wire Cutter - Built into the pliers. Not used but can be useful.
Wire Crimper - Also built into the pliers. At the very top.
Scissors - Watch it, these are extremely sharp scissors. They will cut wires.
Hook - It actually seems like a useless tool, but it is far better than it seems. You can hook all your grocery bags to it and carry them comfortably. No more plastic bags cutting your circulation...
Metal File - Very nice. Haven't used it on metal yet, as I do not want to ruin it, although I think it wouldn't.
Wood saw - This is the real deal. I mean, that wood saw looks very hard core. It's small, but it is very very sharp.
Fine screwdriver - Not as small as the screwdriver in the corkscrew, but small enough.
Wood Chisel - It is mistaken for a screwdriver at first, but it is actually very sharp. Have not used it.Note that all the tools are extremely strong. They are made with very high grade stainless steel. All tools in the main side except of the bit case lock at 180 degrees, and the ones on the reverse side lock at 90 degrees.
The look and feel of the Cybertool 41 are superb. When you hold it you can tell you have something of extreme quality in your hand.
The translucent ruby casing is just awesome. While the tool can take a pretty hard beating, I recommend getting one of the leather cases. The casing can scratch, and then it won't be this flashy pocket knife anymore.
Every person who fixes computers (hardware) would like one of these. While it is no replacement for a complete tool set (It can become burdensome to constantly be switching tools. It is more convenient to have separate tools), it is all you need. I have taken apart a whole laptop and put it back together using only a Cybertool 41. That definitely says something about its completeness.
