(More customer reviews)I was looking for an eye-catching messenger bag that I could use for ANY occasion, business or casual, and I am quite pleased with this bag. When I first opened the packaging, I felt like the leather was slightly on the dry side... but after a few rounds of moisturizer and wax, it greatly improved the texture. The leather is thick... albeit sensitive... so it WILL show wear marks after a few months of use... but I think that is just as much a benefit as a con as the bag is designed to have a 'retro' look/feel to it.
It fits a couple books, some newspapers and an ipad quite nicely, I even carry around my 15" MacBook Pro around in it as well from time to time-- and its a great fit. The buckles on the front are well-designed and easy to open.
The only thing I really have to say negative about the bag is that it could have been designed just a bit better for laptop use (one of the primary uses of most messenger bags... for guys at least). The problem is that there is this large metal 'carabiner' of sorts on the interior of the bag (you can see it connected to the bright-red strap in the photo) that WILL SCRATCH your laptop if you are not careful. I usually just carry around a newspaper and use that as a 'buffer', but it is a poorly-thought placement of a large metal object. You could always cut that red strap off if it really bothers you... but I hate doing that to a bag of this quality.
4 months later... I'm still very pleased with my decision... and I think u will be too.
