My 5th grader (and her classmates) loves this bag! She is in a new school with lots of ramps and walking across campus. The backpack is lightweight, easy to stroll, and durable. No more heavy loads and back strain.

I got some concerns when I bought this bag 6 month ago. I wish this could last.
It did.
I pull it all the way to school and back everyday and nothing broken so far not even the side strips.
Considering how many books I put in it, I'd say it really did a good job keeping me from shoulder pain.
The only things I'm not satisfied is, I would like it to be more stylish.
By the way, I oiled it after I received it, then it works perfect.

Sharper Image TSI8015 17" Backpack Trolley Review

Sharper Image TSI8015 17 Backpack Trolley
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am a luggage addict. I hate boring bags, in particular the black square rolling laptop cases that tend to be well organized but oh so boring. My beloved bright read leather Franklin Covey gave it up last year, and I spent weeks researching the replacement. This bag, while not flashy and gorgeous, meets most of my mobile office needs.
1. The wheels are quiet--one of my only complaints with old Red
2. The laptop area padding is excellent
3. Spacious large compartment holds extra cords, literature, even clothing if traveling.
4. Two front pockets well sized and organized for writing implements and accessories
5. It's not boring black
One negative: the middle pocket is a little tight for holding documents and is the full depth of the bag. I don't use it much--I put my documents in binders and carry them in the large pocket shared with the laptop protector.
The bag is easy to carry and very sturdy. I put several miles a week on it, and months after it arrived, it still looks new.

High Sierra Axle Wheeled Book Bag Review

High Sierra Axle Wheeled Book Bag
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got 2 of these bags for my kids. I was initially very impressed. It seemed well made, had a lot of storage pockets and was roomy enough for the pile of books my kids carry to and from school. The price was unbeatable! However, In the month we've had them, one has developed a hole in the fabric and the other, just 30 days from first use, cracked and broke on the bottom, sending the wheels rolling down the street in one direction, and my son tumbling into the pavement as the bag suddenly stopped!
I should have listened to my mother-You get what you pay for! If you are looking for a rolling pack, roll on by this one and buy something with a bit more quality (or a longer guarantee period!)

BLACK PATCHWORK LEATHER BACKPK - B&F DISTRIBUTION LP Review

BLACK PATCHWORK LEATHER BACKPK - BandF DISTRIBUTION LP
Average Reviews:

I received this item on December 9, 2008. I would not recommend this product to anyone. The wheels are not built well and on January 9, 2009, I ended up purchasing a replacement bag for this product. Because the wheels broke the bottom of the bag was dragging, which caused the bottom to be worn. The bag will not last another week. The bag is not built well, I would recommend some front support and better wheels.

Tundra Rolling Backpack Color: Black Review

This a very attractive bag. It's suprisingly spacious. I was able to pack 5 days worth of clothes and more. The handle pulls out and retracts easily and smoothly. The wheels are quiet and smooth as well. I use it primarily for my trips, saving on baggage fee. It looks sturdy and feels that way as well. It is comfortable to be carried as a backpack. The shoulder straps are padded, and can be hidden when I decide to roll it instead. Overall, very satisfied with my purchase and will recommend it to my friends.

High Sierra Powerglide Wheeled Book Bag Backpack Review

High Sierra Powerglide Wheeled Book Bag Backpack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have gone back to school, and decided that carrying the books with an over the shoulder back pack was not for me. I love this rolling back pack. I spent a lot of time looking into back packs, and rolling bags trying to decide what was best for me. This back pack is made of a tuff material, rolls well, the handle is long enough so it's not uncomfortable for me to use (I'm 6'3), the wheels seem to be well made, and do not seem to be wobbeling or leaning in or out. I typically have 25-35 lbs of books and cpu in this bag. The two main pockets are deep and roomy. The padded pocket for the laptop, is located in the middle of the bag, inside the front pocket. I have a standard size lap top and it fits it fine. My lap top seems to be well protected. I wish it had a few more exterior pockets, and the support structure for the wheels, and handle are only covered by a thin nylon liner. When I set my books inside, I noticed that the edges where getting dented from it. I cut out some cardboard to fit the bottom, to protect the books.
The straps are not designed for extensive carry, that does not bother me, since I've yet to put it over my shoulder. They are tucked out of the way, under a zippered flap, that folds out and attaches to the bottom to cover the wheels if I ever decide to use it that way. There is a small top strap or handle that seems to be sturdy, and stitched well. I use this to lift it in and out of the trunk and carry it up the stairs.
Overall review, I highly reccomend this rolling back pack.

CalPak Grand Stand Rolling Backpack Review

CalPak Grand Stand Rolling Backpack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This roller backpack has a thoughtful design and is well worth the listed sale price. My son and I sat here and scrolled through about 25 pages of book bags before landing on this one. I always look at the prices and search for the Free Shipping option when I shop here on Amazon. Of course, my son is looking solely at the colors and the shape, purely making decisions based on appearances. This was one of the only bags that fit both of our criteria. It would have gotten a full 5 star rating if not for a few flaws. This backpack has been in use for a full 2 weeks now, so I feel that it has been enough time for me to give a realistic review based on every day wear and tear. Okay, here is a list of the Pro's and Con's that I have encountered so far in these past few weeks:
PRO'S:
1.This bag is roomy - tall & wide enough for us to haul about 3 hardcover
text books, 10 folders, a pencil case, a poncho, a 3" ringed binder & a few
soft cover library books.
2.The retractable handle pops up & slides down with relative easy.
3.The handle is sturdy enough to pull the weight of the contents without
bending out of shape or becoming contorted (to the point where it will no
longer go back to the "down" position). I mention it because we had this
problem with a book bag last year.
4.There are plenty of useful pockets & compartments both on the interior and
the exterior of the bag. Most of the compartments have zippers, which makes
it easy for my son to keep his things organized and easy to access.
5.You have the option of securing the shoulder straps to the back of the bag,
so they're not flapping around or getting scuffed and dirty on the ground
while you are rolling it. This is another problem we've encountered with
previous bags - the shoulder straps simply hung down & would get tangled in
the wheels & shredded from scraping the pavement every day. This bag has a
big pocket in the back, specifically designed for securing the straps.Smart!
6.Besides the 2 roller wheels, there's actually a whole frame with 2 front
feet on the bottom of this bag. This is a great feature. When my son wants
to go into the bag, he doesn't need to prop it up against the wall. The bag
stands up by itself, allowing him to use both hands to dig around and take
out his books.
7.So far, the fabric seems to be very strong. We've had backpacks fall apart
at the seams, or tear at the bottom from the corners of hardcover books
being thrown inside. The material of this bag is thick and durable.
8.The main compartment has double zippers, which allows you to zip it up or
down from either side. This is a good thing. No matter which side you go to
open it from, there is always a zipper.
9.My son likes the color and the design of this bag - we got the blue and
white plaid version.
CON'S:
1.The zipper on the main compartment has this piping, which I THINK is meant
to "hide" the zipper when the bag is closed. It is almost like a thin flap
of fabric that goes all the way around the top of the zipper track. Well,
when the bag is stuffed full of books, this piping gets in the way. I am
afraid that one day, my son is going to yank it, and the zipper will get
jammed... or worse yet, go off the track and break completely.
2.I would have liked to have a bit more room - deepness wise. The bag is
tall enough, and wide enough from side to side. But from the front to the
back, it's a squeeze for my son to fit everything that he needs to tote
home every day. That is actually a personal preference and not a design
flaw, so I shouldn't really complain.
Overall, this bag is very nice. Every year, I wind up having to purchase new book bags for my kids. I have NEVER had a bag last for more than that 1 year period. With this one, I have high hopes! So far, it seems to be holding up very well. My only concern is that zipper. If this bag can withstand a year's worth of abuse from a 4th grader, I will come back and re-rate it with 5 stars. My kid loves the pattern and the colors. His friends compliment him on the bag and no one else has one like it. It's easy to spot and retrieve from the pile of backpacks when I pick him up from the class. And for the price, the Pro's FAR outweigh the Cons.

21" Wheeled Backpack Color: Black / Charcoal Review

21 Wheeled Backpack Color: Black / Charcoal
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I really wanted to like this bag. The size and idea behind it are great. But the quality of its construction and materials simply don't live up to expectations. Within a month of use, the mesh water bottle pocket netting started to rip. At two months the top fabric handle began to rip, and a week later it ripped off completely as I was carrying the bag down crowded steps on a ferry. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for - a short lived bag.

Traveler's Choice Rolling Computer Backpack Review

Traveler's Choice Rolling Computer Backpack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I would like to change my rating to 0 stars. ORIGINALLY I WROTE: I love this bag. It fits my huge laptop, plus 3 law books (about 1000 pages in hardcover each), and I can curve a couple softcover books to fit on top, or your lunch, AC adapter, etc. The fabric is thicker than I expected, which is great because the handle ripped off my last backpack and the zipper broke as well. This bag has lots of neat features...the straps store in a pouch on the back, and there is a vinyl-like cover you can pull out to cover the wheels so your clothes don't get dirty when you switch to carrying it on your back (although it does sort of resemble a black shower cap). When the handle is down, you can zip it closed, so it does not so obviously resemble a wheeled backpack. There is a small zippered compartment on top you can keep your cell phone or keys. The front pouch is deep from top to bottom, but does not expand much, so even though books would fit in it, they are too thick to actually zipper it closed. I keep my planner, wallet, and sometimes my AC adapter in it, but when the bag is stuffed, it's not really much additional space. Still, this is the greatest backpack I've ever had.

using it every day- slot for laptop is very tight fitting - tore within two months of m-F use-- recommend use main compartment for laptopm unless no other option. Balanced and easy on the arms and back up the stairs for creaky nearly 60-yr old, better than straining the shoulders and elbows.
