I could pack for a short trip (4 days or so) without needing another bag, and it would fit in the airplane overhead storage bins with little trouble. The bag looks and feels well made, but there is one problem that caused me to reduce it by one star. The stiffening board they use in the base is plastic, and mine is slightly warped. It doesn't affect the look or the use of the bag, but for this price point it's worth mentioning. The bag is made in China which is to be expected these days, I suppose. The outer material feels like it will be easy to clean and the leather handles are padded and comfortable, while the velco has a good grip.
This is a bag of small details. The zipper velcros to the sides of the bag to reduce items slipping lose, but still allows you to slip something in the gap if you're in a hurry. There is a velcro strap on the back (sewn at both sides, velcro in center) so you can slip the bag onto the handles of your rolling bag. The metal clips for the shoulder strap are well made and feel like quality construction. Inside the bag are a number of deep pockets and zipper areas so you can organize your items easily. Overall, I'm very impressed with the design of the Rowallan Elle.
