I'm able to keep a few books, a few pads of paper, a water bottle, coffee mug, and my lunch every day. the strap works well, and there are more pockets in this thing than i know what to do with. the last few weeks it's been raining a bunch, the bag has gotten wet, and none of the stuff inside has been effected at all
