This is the perfect convertible tote, both for commuting, for travel and as a mom bag. The dimensions (14 x 15 x 6 = total linear dimension 36) are just close enough to be counted as your underseat bag/personal bag.

There are a few major differences in the features in this bag. The style was changed (decrease in the number of exterior pockets) after the first launch of this bag (2010) and the newer colours (& basic black for 2011) all only have 1 front pocket instead of 3 front pockets.
In the 2011 models there is a front horizontal pocket on the bottom half of the bag; it is a flat zippered pocket. The 2010 model has the same pocket configuration as the original discontinued version of this bag called the Juno bag; 1 large horizontal puff pocket along the bottom half, 1 horizontal flat pocket in front of that pocket that would fit #10 envelopes, and the third flat horizontal pocket (also sized for #10 envelopes) behind the handles.
While the configuration of the 2010 pockets made the bag not look as sleek as the 2011 model, the large puff pocket was great for stuffing bulky hats, mittens and scarves into, or for holding the 3-1-1 TSA-baggie & my inflatable pillow when traveling. The other 2 flat pockets were mainly used for tourist brochures and pamphlets as I did not feel secure storing my cellphone or passport & boarding pass there in the unsecured pocket.
While I really like the sleek look of the 2011 models with the single front pocket, I do miss the convenience of the bulky-looking puff pocket of the 2010 model. The older colours that have the 3 front pockets are Burgundy, Brown, Green. Everything else is usually the newer 1-pocket model.
For those that are looking to replace their old Juno convertible tote-pack, the Amelia has 2 side pockets vs the Juno's single pocket plus biner. The Amelia also has the addition of D-rings and an adjustable strap to carry the tote as a cross body bag. The interior features in the Amelia are a single zip pocket on one side and a gusseted cellphone and pda pocket on the other. The Juno's full length back pocket (useful for keeping papers and netbooks in place) is not in any version of the Amelia. The overall size of the Amelia is almost the same as the Juno's; the difference is that the storage space of the exterior pockets is internalized to make a larger bag that actually looks smaller. Amelia 14 x 15 x 6 vs Juno 15 x 11 x 5 plus external pockets.
I am a bit torn on the changes but have found that the sleeker, new 1-front pocket Amelia (as my second/personal bag) is easier to get past really strict Gate Agents on over-packed flights. As such, I would still recommend this bag.
