(More customer reviews)This 'International Carry-On' turned out to be larger than my international carrier (Air France) would have allowed on a trip I took in May. It is surprisingly wide: 15.25 inches, and Air France has an outside limit of 13.8 inches for the width of a carry-on bag in international economy class. So it is mis-characterized in its advertising. Its length, 21.5 inches, is just a squeak from the limit of 21.6 that AF imposes. I'm disappointed that Tumi doesn't make a smaller bag, because this one seemed very nice. But I wasn't going to take the chance of having it taken away from me at check-in and sent off to the belly of the airplane beast, so I reluctantly returned it and used a very lightweight little bag I bought at Target for about $25. It fit perfectly, no problems. Note to Tumi: Make a 19 or 20 inch bag that's about 12 or 13 inches wide and 8 inches high that we know will really be acceptable as an international carry-on! Otherwise, check international regs before announcing that your bag is in compliance. This one is not.
