One side of the extendable handle would pull out entirely upon extension. eBags via Amazon was quick to provide a packing label and refund this item. Subsequently, I have purchased the identical bag and have had not problems. It typically fits snugly in the overhead compartment; however, on older planes, 21.5" is a bit too long unless inserted sideways (taking the equivalent of two bag slots). Great bag!
