The belt itself seems to be sturdy, but the buckle is made of thin plastic and reminds me of the cheap plastic toys given away at carnivals and fairs. I'm going to an Army surplus store to see if I can get a good, sturdy buckle so that I can still use this belt without having to worry about the buckle breaking.

(More customer reviews)I initially purchased this belt in a 32-34 inch size as that is the size of my waist. What I discovered was that was the length of the belt, thus almost nothing protrudes from the buckle. So after calculating how much I wanted to protrude ordered a 42-44. Amazon was great about returning the item. The new belt came and is ok lengthwise. In playing with the belt I managed to break the buckle. The portion that holds the clamp of the buckle consists of two pins which are exceedingly small. I cannot imagine these pins or tabs will hold up to heavy use. I had another buckle which I was able to put in place so the belt is useable
Thus I am giving the belt one star because of sizing and also a poorly designed buckle.

(More customer reviews)I bought this belt to help me stash a large sum of money I had to bring with me overseas. I read all the reviews on Amazon and it seemed like the right item for the job. I brought it with me to the airport and put it on before I was to board my flight. The first time I put it on and tried to cinch it down the buckle broke irreparably. I was out of luck, couldn't use and stuck carrying it around with me for two weeks- bummer.
I would not get this belt; it is cheap, poor construction and prone to failure. I can't imagine were it to fail in some capacity while it was full of money- that would be catastrophic. I do not recommend anyone purchasing this cruddy belt.

(More customer reviews)Since I have never worn any type of security money holder before, I purchased two of these for myself and a family member to use on a European trip recently. Very comfortable to wear and did not show. In one case, the bra strap was too wide in places and we just tied it onto the strap ... it worked. However, we traveled in the Fall and were not wearng anything lightweight or sheer. On one occasion, the pouch wouldn't work with the bra and I tied it to the belt loop of my jeans and tucked it inside.
We put a debit card, credit card and some cash into the pouch mostly for emergencies, in case our purses were nabbed. It pays to think ahead though ... how will you access what you need from the pouch. It's awkward to reach into it and fumble around when in full view of others.
The flap closure is a bit awkward ... it seems that a flap with a snap closure would be more helpful. I am thinking of sewing a snap on the flap before I use it again. Altogether, I'm pleased with this item and found it served my need.

(More customer reviews)I bought this money belt for my daughter who was leaving to go to Guatemala. She was adjusting the strap to fit it on her waist and the strap broke. She hadn't even got on the plane yet!! I had to sew the strap, and hoped that it would not brake again during her trip. The fastener was also very cheap. It survived the trip but she was not sastified with it. She had to keep adjusting the strap. The only good thing about this money belt its slim and it doesn't stick to your body in hot countries, that's why I bought it for her trip.
