Quixote Horseshoe Pillow - Goose Down Review

Quixote Horseshoe Pillow - Goose Down
Average Reviews:

After years of fighting with inflatable travel pillows, I decided to invest in this one. What a great decision! It scrunches down to not much larger than my previous pillows but gives such nicer support. I travel all over the world and this pillow works as a lumbar, neck and even bed pillow. What took me so long?!!

I used this for my trip to Greece and Turkey. I was on a plane often, and for many hours at a time. This travel pillow was so soft and comfortable and the snap made it very easy to attach to my carry-on.

I have a herniated disc in my L4 & L5 lumbar and cannot sit comfortably in a normal chair. I have two of these; one which I keep in the car so I'll always have it, the other for the house. I believe the outer material will zip off and can be washed. It's a simple product but effective for providing lumbar support. Buy with confidence.

I bought this pillow for my 1 and half year daughter. I was looking for a cotton pillow. This one is 100% synthetic ,,, not even 1% cotton. Also it doesnt fit well in the car seat.

This Bucky was a replacement for one I left at a hotel. I am not as crazy about the colors as I was with previous versions, but it is still the same Bucky quality. The full size Bucky is too large for me, as I have a short neck, but the mini is perfect. I am a freqent traveler (weekly) and would not fly without my bucky!

Travelon Gel Seat Cushion Review

I couldn't tell whether there was gel or not in this pad. It was stiff, hard as board, and uncomfortable, definitely not cushy. The chemical fumes emanating from the pad just about knocked me over. Made overseas where they are not mindful that such quality is not acceptable. Quickly bagged up and returning. Waste of my shipping costs for the experience.

This pillow, while I have nothing to compare it to, made my transatlantic trip a sleepytime affair. Very nice. Slept nice. Not perfect, you have to sleep straight up, but very comfortable and supported! All that matters is the zzz's. Very good in that regard, perfect.

Lewis N. Clark Reakt Neck Pillow Review

Lewis N. Clark Reakt Neck Pillow
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I recently purchased this travel pillow for a 9-hour flight to Europe. I read a lot of reviews before making a selection and I was very pleased with this choice. Unlike air pillows, you never have to worry about it going flat; it is similar to memory foam, so it cusions the neck nicely while still remaining firm enough to support the head. The only problem I noticed is the foam around the back of the neck is a little too thick. I solved this problem in two ways: one, if you raise the head rest on your plane seat, it gives you more room for the pillow, and two, I found that if I turned the pillow sideways (so that the opening was pointed towards either shoulder rather than the chest), the side foam wasn't as thick on the back of the neck. This turned out to be very comfortable as I could just tip my head to the side a little and the foam on the front of the neck also supported my chin and kept my head from dropping forward. One other thing to be aware of: this pillow comes with batteries, if you're not interested in using the vibration mode while traveling you may as well remove them - I was stopped more than once by airport security who wanted to look inside the pillow. Once I took the batteries out, I passed through security checkpoints without any problems.

Cabeau Complete Support Travel Pillow Review

Cabeau Complete Support Travel Pillow
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Two problems with this product. First, it is too small for my neck. I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 210, fairly muscular, and when wrapped as tight as possible still leaves about a 5-6 inch gap in the front. That's not the product's fault, its mine for having a big neck. Second, when worn like the picture shows the airline seat hits the back part of it and uncomfortable forces my head forward. I have to adjust it to be worn up over my ears to avoid that problem. I've taken to combining it with another pillow or coat and leaning against the window seat wall. If I'm tired enough I sleep. So, overall, I'm not happy with the product. But my wife, who is 5' 10" and about 135 (much smaller than I) loves it! That's because it fits her. So beware if you are an average build male or larger...this product is probably not for you.

Lewis N. Clark Mood™ Neck Pillow Review

Lewis N. Clark Moodandtrade; Neck Pillow
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This silly looking little pillow is wonderful. It holds the head of a napping passenger at just the right angle to snooze, while keeping the neck from getting stiff and hurting when the person wakes up. I started buying these kinds of "donut with a bite missing" pillows about twenty years ago, and got some very strange looks when I used the pillows on long plane flights. Now I see that many travel warriors carry them, and that they are becoming common on long car trips as well. That's terrific.
This particular pillow is very comfortable, with lightweight foam beads inside a thin covering. The covering allows the beads to shift when the user moves their head slightly, so it will be more comfortable than a pillow that doesn't give. Also, the foam beads are much, much lighter than the solid memory foam or buckwheat hulls that I have found in other such pillows. It doesn't feel much heavier than an inflatable pillow, and is much nicer than one, because the foam beads don't make the crinkling noise associated with a plastic inflatable pillow.
The downside is that the thin cloth covering, which allows the beads to move freely, doesn't look very durable. If given to a young child, I would bet that the back seat of the car would be full of foam beads in about three seconds. Happily, I am not a young child, and have used this very comfortable pillow for many months with no problems whatsoever. It comes with a vinyl case, in which I store the pillow when not in use, avoiding the tears and damage associated with being thrown in the trunk. Otherwise, it gets no gentle treatment from me. If it does begin to tear, I plan to put the whole pillow in a nylon stocking as a quick/cheap repair, so I won't get little balls of foam all over my car. But for now, I'll enjoy the pillow for allowing me to snooze the miles away when it's my husband's turn to drive.

Comfort Travel Pillow in Charcoal Review

Comfort Travel Pillow in Charcoal

I've owned one of these pillows for years. It's everything that they advertise about it. It's durable, easy to inflate, easy to deflate and because of this, it's easy to store in a carry on bag. A real plus is that because it's inflatable, you can make it as firm or as soft as you want to. Use it on a plane, in bed or a lounge chair at the pool. It goes anywhere because it can be deflated when you're done with it.

Travelon Inflatable Lumbar Pillow Review

Travelon Inflatable Lumbar Pillow
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this pillow for airplane travel. I've used it on about 10 flights now, and it works and seems durable, although its bulkier than I would like, and the inflation tube has kind of moved so it no longer aligns properly with the hole in the fabric. Its reasonably easy to inflate, but a bit of work to deflate. It takes 2 hands and my knees. The strap at the back was just a nuisance and I cut it off.
I previously had a similar pillow from eagle creek, that I left on a plane after using it just twice. I figured that if I was going to lose them all the time, I should buy cheaper ones, but having used both pillows, the eagle creek one was far superior in ease of inflation and deflation, and compressed to a smaller size. Next time I will spend the extra $5.

Rick Steves Deluxe Neck Pillow, Brown Review

I really hate the conventional neck pillows and I wasn't about to spend $70 on a full neck ring thing so I tried this pillow out on a trip to China. It looks strange but it blows up easily and works quite well. It can be reversed for either side of the head (just remember to push in the spout). I carried it around everywhere. Great Job Mr. Steves (or company)!

Design Go Luggage The Snoozer Review

Design Go Luggage The Snoozer
Average Reviews:

Bought this because the concept seemed to make sense (the back is flat and the side pieces fit on either side of your head), and because the price was right. Well, I guess you get what you pay for. Very poor quality. The seams are sharp and the material is uncomfortable. Standard inflation valve which is hard to close while not letting air out. In retrospect, not sure about the concept either . Impossible to use while wearing headphones (Bose QC15). On the positive side, it folds really small.

Lewis N. Clark Adjustable On Air Neck Pillow Review

Lewis N. Clark Adjustable On Air Neck Pillow
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
So I bought this air pillow after seeing all the positive reviews. I agree with the reviewers on a couple of things: the inflatable factor is very important while travelling so I dont have to carry a bulky load with me, this pillow is very easy to inflate (few light blows of air is all it takes) and deflate (the "on" button works like magic) as well as to fold and put away in its soft carry case.
My gripes however are with the comfort factor. I feel it doesn't support my neck quite enough on the sides, and i wish it had a way to hold the two ends of the "U" shape together. I feel like I have to lean against something just to hold the pillow on my neck, since it will otherwise fall off, and that could be prevented if the ends clipped together around my neck. Also, the behind-head inflation is too wide to rest your head back on a flight seat, so i had to wear it with the ends behind my head to get it to work. I mostly need support on the sides of my head above my shoulders, so the design of this pillow was not too impressive to me.
Will I carry it on my neck flight? Hmmm, not with great joy, I won't. It is easy enough to pack into your hand bag, but it certainly wasnt super comfortable, so I did end up having a neck pain when i got off the flight... So maybe, maybe not.
