At one point we were on the plane and saw it being loaded below us. Length is great. Fits around the biggest bag you would have. Colors stand right out. :-)

(More customer reviews)This strap is very hardy, we used it on one suitcase that had been broken by the baggage checkers (Proves there is no need to lock your suitcase) and kept it closed. They were handy in recognizing our luggage right away since so many look alike. I would suggest ordering one for each suitcase.

(More customer reviews)I use these on my annual trips from WA to NY. I use one for my checked bag and one to hold my stroller closed at the gate check, just in case. They are adjustable and strong. I love the bright colors, which are cheerful and easy to spot at baggage claim. That in itself is reason enough.
Great product. Just a little thing that makes a big difference.

Safe Skies TSA Luggage Strap - Blue Review

(More customer reviews)Mine broke on its first flight, which drew my attention to the flawed choice of plastic for the buckle. The manufacturer needs to use metal instead of the current plastic for the "pass through" buckle in the strap, i.e the plastic part that facilitates length adjustments in the strap.
Manufacturer seems to be NY based, advertises a "lifetime warranty" on the product packaging... but my attempts to contact them (phone/website) for a replacement went unheeded.
However, the locking mechanism itself is decent; its housing is plastic, but seems fairly well built, and definitely more rugged than the pathetic "pass through".

(More customer reviews)The strap is strong but the plastic clasp is not. We had two of these on a trip to Paris, and loaded our luggage close to the maximum weight allowed by the airlines. The plastic clasp broke on both straps. The clasp is not heavy-duty REI-quality high-durability plastic, so this is really not suitable for high-weight luggage.

(More customer reviews)If you've lost the custom connector that came with your bag, as I had, this will do. In fact, this was better than my original as it can be set longer, allowing the second bag to ride lower - which makes it have a lower perceived add-on weight.
Not a 5 star as it works on the suitcase handles, stressing and stretching that a bit.
