(More customer reviews)I bought these to get some rest during a long flight from Chicago to Shanghai (and back). I own some other cheap eye masks that were given to me on international flights, but they are nowhere near as good as the Lewis N. Clark mask. It is made of very soft material, and has a ton of padding in it.
There is a small padded part along the bottom of the mask that serves two purposes (for me, anyway).
1. It can be positioned around your nose to keep any stray light out. I have a Roman nose so this is not an easy task. I was glad to see that it worked for me, and when correctly positioned I was able to relax in pitch black darkness.
2. It pushes the eye mask away from the face so it's not resting against your eyes or eyelashes. I could open my eyes and blink without the eye mask getting in the way.
This eye mask worked great for me!

Lewis N. Clark Clothes Line With Suction Cups and Clips, Black Review

(More customer reviews)Although the Rick Steves clothesline looks more substantial, I prefer this one because it has clips at the ends instead of loops. I never use the suction cups. There are times when it is difficult to put a loop around a knob, but I can always wrap this line around the shower curtain rod or something else, and then clip it.

(More customer reviews)I use these on my annual trips from WA to NY. I use one for my checked bag and one to hold my stroller closed at the gate check, just in case. They are adjustable and strong. I love the bright colors, which are cheerful and easy to spot at baggage claim. That in itself is reason enough.
Great product. Just a little thing that makes a big difference.

(More customer reviews)Mine broke on its first flight, which drew my attention to the flawed choice of plastic for the buckle. The manufacturer needs to use metal instead of the current plastic for the "pass through" buckle in the strap, i.e the plastic part that facilitates length adjustments in the strap.
Manufacturer seems to be NY based, advertises a "lifetime warranty" on the product packaging... but my attempts to contact them (phone/website) for a replacement went unheeded.
However, the locking mechanism itself is decent; its housing is plastic, but seems fairly well built, and definitely more rugged than the pathetic "pass through".

(More customer reviews)The strap is strong but the plastic clasp is not. We had two of these on a trip to Paris, and loaded our luggage close to the maximum weight allowed by the airlines. The plastic clasp broke on both straps. The clasp is not heavy-duty REI-quality high-durability plastic, so this is really not suitable for high-weight luggage.

(More customer reviews)If you've lost the custom connector that came with your bag, as I had, this will do. In fact, this was better than my original as it can be set longer, allowing the second bag to ride lower - which makes it have a lower perceived add-on weight.
Not a 5 star as it works on the suitcase handles, stressing and stretching that a bit.
