I guess I fell in to the old trap, I wanted some thing fashionable and inexpensive. I purchased some thing I believed to be a designer type product. I couldnt be further away from the truth.
The Kenneth Cole line of products is probably the worst in the world. You could probably expect better quality and performance from generic made in China brands as compared to Kenneth Cole products. Kenneth Cole is NOT a designer brand, they try to have a mass production based profit scenario which rules out the whole "designer" concept of exclusiveity and they get the finished goods from some of the lousiest manufacturer's in China (can you get anything worse than this?) and these goods are of exceptionally low quality.
My Kenneth cole brief case advertised itself to be made of aluminium, it turns out it is made of CARDBOARD!!!!!!! There is a layer of some material (a layer like a cloth covering) and then CARDBOARD!!! The sides literally come out from the frame when there is the slightest pressure from the inside! It is singularly flimsy and, not to mention, looses all visual appeal within a few weeks of use.
There is no support to talk about, the customer service is rude. And I have faced similar quality issues with every type of kenneth Cole product I have purchased for myself or for friends.
Bottom line: kenneth cole is a lousy brand, mass produced units from bad manufacturers from China are purchased at a knock down price and then resold to innocent customers. AVOID IT.
