High Sierra Remote Briefcase Review

The quality of this bag is superb. The material is very thick and sturdy and virtually dirt-proof. The shoulder strap is very well padded. The stitching is spot on without any fraying. The zippers work smoothly. The handle feels sturdy and is slightly padded. The trim accents are well done. It's brightly colored without looking cheap. Seriously, this is one high-end looking case. But... It needs more pockets. It's big enough that a few more dedicated spaces could've been added. There's just the front zippered area and the main compartment - that's it. Still, it's an excellent quality case and looks professional.

McKlein USA Kenwood Leather Double Compartment Laptop Case Review

Real leather, pockets for everything, and doesn't look like a purse! I got this for my husband's laptop, and because he is a support engineer, he also carries a thousand different testing tools in his bag, screwdrivers, external hard drives, an extra keyboard, etc. and it all fits nicely. Everything has its own pouch or compartment, and it looks nice. Everything else I found with this many pockets seemed girly and purse-like. This bag is perfect.

I bought this briefcase about two weeks ago and have been using it daily. It looks great; is well constructed; the leather is fine grained, soft, and smells of leather; and the hardware is substantial. However, there is one major design flaw that you should be aware of. As mentioned in several of the other reviews, the spring clips on the ends of the shoulder strap that attach to the bag often unclip when you pick the bag up by the strap. This is not only very annoying but also potentially dangerous. Recently, I grabbed my bag, walked off the subway and the bag dropped to the platform. I'm going to attempt to contact the manufacturer to see if they've come up with a solution for this.
The other thing you should consider is that the bag is large, particularly in length. This is great if you have a large 17 inch laptop you need to haul around. However, if you have a small laptop, travel a lot, and don't bench-press 200 lbs, you may want to consider something smaller and lighter. The fact that the strap keeps falling off only exacerbates this.
The last thing you should know is that there isn't as much interior space as you would expect given the size of the bag. There are three sections inside the bag. The one in the middle is padded and for the laptop; another section has many packets for accessories but not much room for anything else; leaving one section about 1 inch wide that will fit a slim note pad and small amount of paper.

Trial lawyers go to court the way Alaskan hunters venture into the interior-loaded for bear. We used to march into court with what was called a trial bag-a boxy briefcase that one can stick the entire contents of a file into and lug down to the courthouse. Actually the trial bag itself became rather limited when teams of paralegals started cross indexing long depositions, exhibits, and document production. In one of my trials the one entire side of the gallery was taken over by bankers' boxes and a team of three paralegals desperately trying to anticipate the next document their lawyer would need. These days a decent laptop can and usually does replace trial bags, most paralegals, and bankers boxes.
Lawyers however are loathe to walk into court with a nylon laptop case, looking to all the world like an IT geek in a tailored suit. McKlein USA provided the answer- a sleek, lawyerly looking laptop case. I have had mine for over three years and other than a slight tendency to topple over (the result of overstuffing on one side by yours truly), the briefcase has performed admirably. The bag has three major lined compartments and I use the middle compartment for my MacBook Pro. On either side of that I stuff any written materials I plan on using. In a zippered interior compartment I put my chargers and extra cables. As indicated you can overfill as mine often is.
This is an excellent laptop case that looks like a regular briefcase. You will never be mistaken for a IT geek.
