(More customer reviews)I chose this style instead of the less-expensive McKlein briefcases because I wanted a wider bag. I don't like to carry a purse along with a briefcase--I want everything in one bag--and this is wide enough to put my laptop/books/papers/whatever in the padded side, and bulky items, including a shoulder wallet and toiletries bag, in the other (organizer) side, with the zippered section between. The zippered section fits letter-sized papers but is not quite wide enough for manila folders. But the outside section fits folders, magazines, legal pads, plus tickets or anything else you might need to put your hands on quickly. There are two end pockets with magnetic clasps. They're big enough for a smart phone (plus there's a pocket inside that will also accommodate a smart phone), but they're not big enough for a water bottle. No problem, you can fit a water bottle inside. I shopped on various sites for this bag and some sites mistakenly say it has a removable laptop section. It does not. I ordered it in red, which turned out to be a very nice deep, vivid cranberry. I took it along on an out-of-town business trip and it performed like a champ. Note that when I was shopping, it was less expensive on the ebags site, but I needed it right away, so I paid extra to get it from Amazon with two-day Prime shipping.
