1.I've tried other packing compressors, and have found Eagle Creek to be the sturdiest and best made
2.Idiot proof instructions are printed directly on the bags
3.Put your clothes inside the bag, seal the open end with the zipper, and then simply roll it, so that all the air gets squeezed out through the special one-way valves at the other end.
4.They really work! A pile of clothes that would otherwise take up half your suitcase can be compressed into flat and compact packages that are easy to pack
5.You can use it to safely separate your dirty clothes or wet swimwear from the rest of your belongings
6.You can fit all your clothes and still have room for all the keepsakes (or junk) that you've bought.
7.Kids have a great time helping to squeeze out the air.Cons:
1.After frequent hard labor, the closing thingy can come off from the zipper. However, it's quite easily reattached, or you can close the zipper by hand like a Ziploc bag.
2.You have to remember not to use it for packing sharp objects. Like a balloon, one hard jab and it's gone.
3.Other people in the room may not believe you when you point to the bag as the source of the embarrassing noises they just heard.Overall, I'd recommend this brand to anyone who needs to maximize packing space when traveling, especially with the new luggage requirements.Amanda Richards, August 24, 2008

(More customer reviews)The concept for using these items is very good in that they prevent your clothes from shifting in your luggage and getting wrinkled as opposed to staying in one place within the bags and wrinkle free. But getting the bags to close and stay closed was difficult. The pull tabs kept coming off so just lining up the strips to adhere together and pushing out the air was a chore. But they worked good once you were able to accomplish this.

(More customer reviews)I used these bags to pack my son's suitcase for his 10-day trip to Italy. I was a little skeptical due to the low price but purchased based on user reviews as you've got to trust those Amazon reviewers! Figuring out the compressing of the bag was a little tricky on the first one - had to use a little elbow grease to get the air locks to open and release air. However, once we got the hang of it on the first one, the rest were a breeze. We were able to pack enough clothes for a teenage boy for 10 days and only filled the suitcase about 2/3 full. This left him plenty of room for souveniors on the way back. It also served well to organize his suitcase for the trip. I bought two sets and we divided his clothes by day so he could pull out one bag and have everything in it. We packed one pair of jeans and 2 t-shirts, pairs of socks and underwear in each bag. It worked great for him! He then used the bags for his dirty laundry to keep it separated from his clean clothes. We also packed an empty bag for damp swim trunks that didn't have enough time to air dry overnight. Just rolled them up by themselves in a bag and the rest of his clothes stayed dry. Would highly recommend.

Pack-It Compression Sac by Eagle Creek Review

(More customer reviews)Compression bags are excellent for puffy items that need to be stored or shipped. For traveling, I tend to forget that the weight of the object doesn't change even though the size of it has, and I overpack.
Easy to use, even for very bulky items. One bedcover I stored stayed air-tight until I opened it more than 8 months later.
