It provides extra protection my laptop, fits much better than standard sleeves, has a pocket for extra stuff associated for the laptop (although stuffing your charger in there makes it look quite bulky. I think the only con is that it streches out a little bit after pulling on the sides of it while pulling it out of my back pack. Not much though so so don't worry it still fits well. I get compliments on it all the time because its so unique and pretty. Well worth the price in my opinon. Its the same standard thinkness of a sleeve you would find at the apple store but with a nicer design.
