(More customer reviews)Just got this briefcase a couple of weeks ago. It is replacing a Tumi I have without wheels. I was getting tired of carrying the weight of the other briefcase around on my shoulder, and the wheels on this one coupled with the slightly more compact size were appealing. So far the experience is reasonably positive.
The plusses are:
Very well built - solid construction - should last a long time
Handle is right height and very sturdy
Wheels appear to be quite well built and roll well
Lots of internal pockets, both with elastic closures and zippers - typical for a Tumi
The minuses are:
A bit small inside. I can fit my laptop, my leather folio, a zippered pouch with pens and pencils, a very small planner, a few other personal items (chargers, etc), and a small number of paper folders - I can't quite fit the typical quantity of work papers I like to travel with on a business trip.
Difficult to carry on top of a roll-aboard suitcase. It has no way to attach it to the top of a suitcase, so you either have it perched awkwardly on top or you hope that the strap on the front of the suitcase is sturdy enough to hold the weight of this suspended off the front of the suitcase.
Has no outside pocket for airline boarding passes, itineraries, etc that need to be very quick and easy to retrieve.
