(More customer reviews)My wife and I bought two identical pieces of the 30" Travelers Choice Excursion Ii Rolling Duffel. This is a nice looking piece of luggage with the Coleman brand. It has one huge drawback and you should save your money if you want to lock your luggage with any confidence, because, based on our experience, you won't be able to after your first airline trip. (I note that of the other three reviews to date, all 5 stars, the luggage had apparently not yet been on an airline trip.)
Only the main compartment zipper pull-tabs have the small circular interlocking double fittings designed for a luggage lock. None of the other three compartments' zippers do, but you can put a luggage lock through the holes in the two zipper pull tabs for each of those compartments. Strangely, each semi-horseshoe fitting on top of every zipper slide mechanism, to which a pull tab of either kind attaches, is slightly open at one of the ends instead of being completely closed to securely hold the pull-tab to the zipper slide, so that with a good twist or yank, the zipper pull-tab can pull right off the slide - a bizarre design in my opinion.
On our first trip with the bags by air (US Airways - checked luggage), the zippers survived the 2 and 1/2 hours to our destination. They didn't all make it on the return journey. On one of the bags, the main zipper double-interlocking fittings were shorn off. On the other bag, one of the pull tabs on one of the auxiliary compartments was torn off and nowhere to be seen. The broken parts remaining appear to be that inexpensive gunmetal that is ineffective from a strength standpoint. In short, in my opinion, these are cheap, insubstantial zipper mechanisms on what otherwise seems to be a nice piece of rolling luggage for the price. If you do not care to lock your luggage on airline flights, then it may not bother you. It bothers us. We prefer to put TSA locks on our luggage, and also be able to pull the zipper slides with attached tabs.
Thus, in our view, the luggage is, unfortunately, useless from the standpoint described above, and we would expect the other zippers to go in short order.
We purchased the bags from eBags through Amazon, and eBags could not have been nicer or more courteous about promptly authorizing the return over the phone and providing, at their expense, Fed-X return labels by email.
