I bought this because all of the name-brand soft luggage seems to be of the same poor quality these days. My last S-brand bag had most of the zipper pulls broken off within a year or two. This seems to fit the bill for relatively inexpensive hard luggage. It is not like the upscale stuff. The sides "give" when you press on them. What makes good luggage is how long the fittings and wheels last, and that remains to be seen. So far, I am quite in favor of the Meridian line.
